The 36-year-old centre returns to Los Angeles after three seasons away from the team and brings 90 goals and 209 points through 892 career games to the Kings.

The Kings signed Andreas Englund to a two-year contract worth $2.0 million ($1.0M AAV).

Englund had four assists, 31 SOG, 35 PIMs and a -1 plus/minus through 47 games played with Colorado and Chicago in 2022-23 and has signed a two-year contract worth $2.0 million ($1.0M AAV). The 27-year-old defender will be joining his fourth NHL team and has yet to pick up a goal across 80 career NHL games despite having seven assists, 59 PIMs and 46 SOG across that span.

Andreas Englund
The Sharks have signed Kyle Burroughs to a three-year deal worth $3.3 million ($1.1M AAV).

Burroughs had two goals, three assists, 47 SOG, 62 PIMs and a -4 plus/minus through 48 games with Vancouver in 2022-23 and has signed a three-year deal worth $3.3 million ($1.1M AAV) with San Jose. The 27-year-old defenseman has appeared in 95 career NHL games across three seasons; picking up three goals, eight assists, 89 SOG and 106 PIMs.

Kyle Burroughs
The Capitals have acquired Joel Edmundson from the Canadiens for a third-round pick and a seventh-round pick.

Edmundson has one year left on a contract that carries a $3.5M cap hit. Edmundson will solidify the Capitals' third pair and could be a candidate to skate with John Carlson. Edmundson had 13 points (2G / 11A), 112 hits and 149 blocked shots in 61 games with Montreal last season.

Los Angeles has signed Taylor Ward to a one-year, two-way $775,000 contract extension.

Ward had nine goals, 17 assists, 46 PIMs and a -20 plus/minus through 71 games with Ontario in 2022-23 and has signed a one-year, two-way $775,000 contract extension. The 25-year-old undrafted right-winger has yet to make his NHL debut after joining the Reign from the University of Nebraska-Omaha (NCAA) in 2021-22.

Reilly Walsh's rights have been traded to the Boston Bruins for Shane Bowers.

Walsh had nine goals, 32 assists, 40 PIMs and a -6 plus/minus through 71 games with the Utica Comets (AHL) in 2022-23 and has had his rights traded to Boston for Shane Bowers. The 24-year-old was New Jersey's 2017 third round pick (81st overall) and has played in one NHL game throughout his career.

Vladislav Gavrikov has signed a two-year, $11,750,000 ($5.875 AAV) contract extension with the Los Angeles Kings.

Gavrikov had six goals, 13 assists, 89 SOG, 38 PIMS and a +4 plus/minus through 72 games with Los Angeles and Columbus in 2022-23 and has signed a two-year, $11,750,000 ($5.875 AAV) contract extension with the Los Angeles Kings. The 27-year-old has 276 career games played, picking up 18 goals, 82 points and 138 penalty minutes across his five year career.

David Rittich will be out for Game 4 due to a lower-body issue.

Rittich has yet to see any time in this years Stanly Cup Playoffs as he's backed up Connor Hellebuyck but will now be forced to miss Game 4 as he deals with a lower-body issue. The 30-year-old is coming off a 9-8-1 record, 2.67 GAA and .901 SV% during the regular season.

Fiala has missed the Kings' previous eight games due to a lower-body injury and will be out Friday for Game 3 as they take on the Edmonton Oilers. The 26-year-old is still considered day-to-day, which is a huge loss as he had 23 goals, 72 points, 208 SOG, 52 PIMs and a +2 plus/minus through 69 games before his injury.

Rittich allowed four goals on 24 shots (.833 SV%) for his fourth-straight loss as he was beaten by the Carolina Hurricanes his last time out. The 30-year-old Jets' backup has had a very mediocre season in Winnipeg, with his 9-7-1 record, 2.65 GAA and .902 SV%. He takes on the Colorado Avalanche, who just had a five-game winning streak snapped with a. 2-1 loss to Edmonton in their previous game.

Kuemper will start Thursday vs. NJD.

Kuemper allowed two goals on 40 shots (.950 SV%) in his previous start to snap a five-game losing drought as he beat the New York Islanders. The 32-year-old has had an up-and-down first season in Washington, with his 22-26-6 record, 2.83 GAA and .910 SV%. He will take on the New Jersey Devils, who have won three of their last four games and are fifth in the NHL in goals (3.51).
