Rittich will start Thursday in Toronto.

Rittich stopped 35 of 37 shots in the Flames 2-0 loss in Montreal on Monday. It was a strong outing for Rittich, who was starting to lose his grip on the No.1 gig in recent weeks. He’s been solid on the road, posting a 2.83 GAA and .915 SV% but draws a brutal matchup in Toronto, where the Maple Leafs have scored 4.75 goals per game in their last eight home games.

The Oilers have signed Caleb Jones to a two-year extension worth $1.7 million ($850K AAV).

Jones has spent time between the AHL and NHL this season, scoring three goals with 11 points in 14 games in Bakersfield and three assists in 23 games with the Oilers. Jones projects to be a third-pairing defenseman heading into 2020-21, so this is a great cap-hit for the Oilers.

Rittich will start Monday in Montreal.

Rittich surrendered four goals on 34 shots in the Flames win in Minnesota on January 5th. Cam Talbot has started the last three games, so they'll get Rittich a game tonight so he doesn't sit too long. The 27-year-old is 9-6-2 with a 2.87 GAA, .913 SV% and one shutout on the road and gets set to face a Montreal team that has lost five in a row while scoring just 1.60 goals per game on home ice.

Lewis (upper-body) will return to the Kings lineup on Monday.

Lewis has missed the last five games with an upper-body injury but will play Monday vs. the Blue Jackets. Lewis will likely replace Matt Luff on the Kings’ fourth line and comes into play with just six points (1G / 5A) in 30 games this season.

Trevor Lewis
Rittich will start Tuesday vs. the Blackhawks.

Rittich was yanked after allowing three goals on seven shots in the Flames 5-2 loss to the Canucks on Sunday. It was a rough outing for Rittich, who is 5-2-1 with a 2.90 GAA and .909 SV% in December. Tonight he faces a Blackhawks team that has won four of their last five while scoring 3.60 goals per game.

Lewis (upper-body) is not expected to play on Monday.

Lewis suffered an upper-body injury in his first shift in Buffalo on Saturday and it doesn't look like he will play Monday vs. the Blues. With Lewis hurt, Martin Frk was called up from the AHL this morning but look Matt Luff to replace him on a line with Jeff Carter.

Trevor Lewis
Rittich will start Sunday in Dallas.

Rittich surrendered four goals on 43 shots in the Flames loss to the Canadiens on Thursday. Rittich has lost two straight while giving up seven goals on 73 shots (.904 SV%) and draws a tough road assignment in Dallas. The Stars have won 10 of their last 13 home games (10-2-1) while scoring 3.31 goals per game.

Kuemper is week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

Kuemper went down without contact and was forced to leave late in Thursday's loss to the Wild and is expected to miss at least a couple of weeks. This is a huge blow for the Coyotes but Antti Raanta is a more than capable starter who will carry the water for the Coyotes moving forward. Don't expect to see Kuemper until early-January at the absolute earliest.

Rittich will start Thursday vs. the Canadiens.

Rittich surrendered three goals on 30 shots in the Flames loss to the Hurricanes last Saturday. Cam Talbot started Tuesday, so Rittich will be well-rested for tonight's game vs. the Canadiens. Saturday's loss snapped a five-game winning streak for Rittich, who is 9-2-2 with a 2.36 GAA, .919 SV% and one shutout at the Scotiabank Saddledome this season.
