Fleury surrendered two goals on 21 shots in a loss to the Flyers on Wednesday. He played well but the Penguins were shutdown by Ray Emery the loss was his third in his last three starts. Expect Fleury to get back in the win column tonight with the Predators in town.
Fleury surrendered two goals on 32 shots in a 2-1 loss to the Blues on Saturday. It was his second straight loss and moved him to 10-4-0 with a 2.07 GAA and .921 SV% on the season. Tonight he takes on a Flyers team who are on the tail-end of a back-to-back.
Fleury was not at his best on Wednesday. He allowed five goals on 25 shots in a rare blowout loss for the Penguins. Tonight he will face a gritty Blues team and the NHL's leading scorer Alex Steen (14). Fleury is not the greatest backstop, but he should receive plenty of goal support on a regular basis, making him a consistent strong fantasy play.
Fleury allowed two goals on 39 shots in a win over the Blue Jackets on Friday. He continues to help the Penguins to wins; he has posted a 1.83 GAA and .929 SV% en route to a 10-2-0 record. He has a solid matchup against a low-scoring Rangers team.
Merrill was injured in his NHL debut and the Devils will continue to do tests to determine if he suffered a concussion. Merrill is out indefinitely until a timetable is released.
"He's seeing a neurologist today to see exactly where he's at," general manager Lou Lamoriello said. "He came back with us. He was certainly okay to travel. It is not something that is interpreted immediately as anything long term, but he's got to be 100 percent right. He got quite a jolt there and quite a cut." There are no plans to send Merrill back to Albany (AHL) while he is still ailing.
Merrill was the 38th overall pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He is a solid two-way defenseman, who is a great skater and puck distributor. Merrill had a strong pre-season and could have made the team out of camp, but was sent to Albany for seasoning. With Peter Harrold and Bryce Salvador on IR a spot has opened up for him. Merrill has two goals and five assists in 11 games with Albany.
Brodin missed three games with a broken cheekbone that he suffered on October 22. He will be in the lineup tonight vs. Montreal with a college-style cage. The young defenseman has three goals and three assists while averaging 23:14 TOI in 10 games.
Fleury stopped 21 of 23 shots in a win over the Bruins on Wednesday. It was a fairly easy night for Fleury, except for a number of key saves he made to preserve the win in the final minutes. He will look to get his 10th win tonight vs. Columbus.
Fleury only had to make 20 saves in a 3-1 victory over Carolina on Monday. The win moved him to 8-2-0 with a 1.79 GAA and .928 SV% - all of which rank in the top 10 in the NHL. He has more difficult matchup this evening with the Bruins in town.
Brodin has missed three games after breaking his cheekbone last Tuesday. Skating on Wednesday, means there is a good chance that he will be in the lineup on Friday. Brodin will be wearing a college-style cage when he returns, but the Wild could use his 23-plus TOI back on the blueline.
After winning his first seven starts, Fleury has lost each of his last two outings. He would face the Hurricanes for the second time this season, as the Penguins look to break a three games losing streak. In his first start vs. Carolina he stopped 32 of 34 in a 5-2 win.

Brodin, who has a broken cheekbone, skated on his own Sunday and is close to trying to play through the injury inside a college-style facial cage. “I don’t think he’s been off long enough here where we have to worry about conditioning,” Wild head coach Mike Yeo said. Monitor Brodin's status throughout the day.
Fleury allowed just one goal on 14 shots but was out-duelled by J.S. Giguere who posted a 34-save shutout on Monday. He will get a crack at the Maple Leafs tonight, he was 2-1-0 with a 3.25 GAA and .873 SV% vs. Toronto last season.

It sounds like Brodin isn't going to be out for too long, so you can hold onto the emerging young defenseman while he recovers.
Zuccarello has struggled, recording no points in seven games.
He is out indefinitely and a timetable will be announced once it's determined. As of now, the Wild says this is relatively good news because there was originally a concern he had a broken jaw. More after practice, but as of now, Matt Dumba has taken Brodin's spot on the No. 2 power-play unit
Wild head coach Mike Yeo said Brodin was taken to a hospital for X-rays, but the coach had no update on his condition. This is a tough break for the 20-year-old, who was off to a great start in his sophomore year. He has three goals and three assists (six points) in the Wild's first 10 games while averaging 25:46 TOI (before last night's 1:01).
