Price will start Game 2 against the Penguins.

Price was terrific in Game 1, stopping 39 of 41 shots in the Canadiens 3-2 overtime win. He was not sharp before the season was paused so the long layoff may have done the veteran some good. Price comes into Game 2 having not given up more than three goals in a game in his last 11 playoff starts.

The Blue Jackets added Josh Anderson (shoulder) to their 34-man roster on Sunday.

Anderson has not played since December 14th and underwent shoulder surgery in March. Anderson skated on his own on Sunday but has yet to join the team sessions. Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella had "no information at all" on Anderson, so it's unclear whether the power-forward could be ready for the Maple Leafs or any potential series beyond that.

The Blues signed Sammy Blais to a two-year contract extension worth $3.0 million ($1.5M AAV).

After splitting time between the NHL and AHL in the last two years, Blais was a full-time NHLer in 2019-20. He missed some time due to right wrist surgery in November but produced 13 points (6G / 7A) in the 40 games he appeared in before the league was paused. Blais was a physical force when in the lineup, leading the Blues with 155 hits (3.9 Hits/GP).

The Predators have signed Alexandre Carrier to a three-year contract extension worth $2.2 million (733K AAV).

Carrier, who was selected in the fourth round back in 2015, spent most of his fourth professional season in Milwaukee (AHL), amassing 37 points (5G / 32A) in 55 games, which was tied for seventh-best among AHL blueliners. He also appeared in three games with the Predators but failed to get on the scoresheet. With Dan Hamhuis, Korbinian Holzer and Yannick Weber all set to become unrestricted free agents this offseason, there is a path for Carrier to be a full-time third-pairing defenseman in Nashville next season.

The Canadiens signed Alex Belzile to a one-year, two-way contract on March 19th.

Belzile is in his second season with Laval and earned an NHL-level contract after registering 14 points (7G / 7A) in 20 AHL games. The 28-year-old centre has recorded 132 points (54G / 78A) in 239 AHL games and 169 points (62G / 107A) in 168 ECHL games since turning pro in 2012-13.
