Blais missed Sunday's game in Detroit but is set to play tonight vs. the Wild. Blais will get a huge opportunity tonight as he lines up on the first line with Brayden Schenn and Jaden Schwartz, replacing Vladimir Tarasenko. Blais has three goals and two assists (five points) in 10 games this season. The 23-year-old provides even more value in banger leagues, averaging 2.6 hits per game.

Laine suffered a lower-body injury in practice on Monday and will come out of the lineup on Tuesday. Oddly enough, Luca Sbisa, who he got tangled up with, will take his spot in the lineup as a No.7 defenseman.

Laine was tangled up with Luca Sbisa in Monday's practice and could miss Tuesday's game in Anaheim. This would put some strain on the Jets' forward group, who will also be without Adam Lowry, who is serving a two-game suspension.

Sergei Bobrovsky started the last three games, including last night, so look for Montembeault to make his third start of the year on Monday. The 22-year-old is 1-0-1 with a 1.79 GAA and .933 SV% in his first two starts and one relief appearance of 2019-20. Tonight he faces a Vancouver team that has won six of their last eight while averaging 3.88 goals per game.

Matheson was forced to leave Tuesday's game vs. the Penguins and is expected to miss at least 10 days with an undisclosed injury. Riley Stillman was called up from the AHL to replace Matheson on Thursday.

Blais is considered day-to-day with a thumb injury, so Zach Sanford will replace him in the lineup on Thursday. Blais could be back for the Blues' back-to-back on Saturday/Sunday.

San Jose comes into Thursday's game at 3-5-1 and still ranks in the bottom third of the NHL in goal-scoring (2.67 GF/gm).

Bowey was a healthy scratch last night vs. The Canucks but will replace Danny DeKeyser (undisclosed) in the lineup in Ottawa. Bowey has just one assist in four games this season.

Not to be confused with this summer’s No.2 overall pick Kaapo Kakko, Kahkonen was a fourth-round pick in 2014. The 23-year-old netminder has gone 4-0-0 with a 2.95 GAA and .886 SV% in four AHL games this season. He is expected to serve as Alex Stalock’s backup on Thursday because Devan Dubnyk was banged up in Tuesday’s win.
