Par ailleurs, Michael Cammalleri et Carey Price seront à leur poste dimanche, eux qui étaient ennuyés par une grippe.

Price will face the Jets for the first time. Through 11 career appearances against the newly-defunct Atlanta Thrashers, Price posted a 5-2-0-3 record with a 2.52 GAA and .913 SV%.

Lots of power play and penalty kill work today in practice. Of note is that rookie David Savard took shifts with the No. 1 power play unit, taking James Wisniewski's spot on the right side point opposite Fedor Tyutin.

Savard continues to impress following a strong training camp. Through 72 games with the Springfield Falcons last season, the 20-year-old scored 11 goals and 43 points. Expect him to get a long look from the team before James Wisniewski returns.

On the back end, David Savard and Holden have looked very good. So has John Moore at times. There’s room for two of them on the roster with James Wisniewski under suspension.

With the team sending Holden down today, Savard should make the team as the sixth defenseman. Through 72 games with the Springfield Falcons last season, the 20-year-old scored 11 goals and 43 points. Expect him to see time on the bottom pair and even get a chance to play the power play.

It's another look for Roman Horak and Paul Byron, along with Lance Bouma; all three guys are hoping to crack the opening day lineup if injury situations play in, or if there is merit for them to be playing.

Byron scored 26 goals in 52 games last season while with the Portland Pirates of the AHL, earning an eight-game tryout. Clearly he is an offensive player but the jury remains out whether the diminutive forward can score in the NHL. He will at least need a top-6 lineup spot to be successful-- a role the team does not have open at this point.

Wisniewski's shot will be missed, especially on the power play. Savard has the best skill set of that "leaners", so maybe that gives him the nod.

Savard could grasp a roster spot as the team lacks a third puck-moving defender. Last season he impressed with 11 goals and 43 points over 72 games with the Springfield Falcons. Look for him to make the team at some point this season.

The Vancouver Giants' Brendan Gallagher is still at the Montreal Canadiens training camp at this writing, even as his peers who have actually signed contracts and were also taken much earlier than 147th overall in the 2010 entry draft have trekked back to their junior clubs.

Gallagher could make the team out of camp as he continues his extended look. The diminutive right wing scored 44 goals and 91 points last season with the Vancouver Giants. If he stays with the big club it would likely be on the third or fourth line, which makes you think he would be better served in the WHL.

The Calgary Flames have officially traded defenceman Robyn Regehr to the Buffalo Sabres along with Ales Kotalik and a 2012 second round draft pick in exchange for defenceman Chris Butler and forward Paul Byron. The deal included all the particulars we had heard last night, with the only difference being the second round pick heading Buffalo's way instead of vice versa.
