


Blankenburg will miss 6-8 weeks with a broken ankle after playing 22:25 TOI and scoring a goal last game vs. Philadelphia. The 24-year-old had been enjoying a solid first full NHL season, collecting two goals and an assist on 13 SOG through seven games so far this season.

With Pittsburgh dealing with an array of injuries on their back end, Mark Friedman has been brought up from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL for some defensive relief. Before his promotion to Pittsburgh, he had two assists and was a +2 plus/minus through 10 games.

McCarron will head to the press box after playing eight games with the Predators so far this season. He has two points (1G/1A) and is a +1 plus/minus with 10 SOG on the season.

Murray will head back to Texas after getting recalled over a week ago after Jake Oettinger went down with injury. He will work on his solid AHL numbers as he left with a .926 SV% and 2.00 GAA through five games with Texas.

Saros had his best start of the season his last time out, stopping 42 of 45 shots (.933 SV%) in a 4-3 win over Vancouver. It was good for Saros as he has not been his usual dominant self this season, posting a 3-5-1 record with a 3.12 GAA and .904 SV%. He faces off against the Seattle Kraken who finds themselves on a four-game winning streak after their 3-2 win over Pittsburgh Saturday.


Blankenburg has been solid this season, collecting a game-winning goal, two points (1G/1A) and eight shots in four games all while only playing 16:05 TOI nightly. He will be back in Columbus' lineup Friday as they take on the Avalanche in Finland.

Blankenburg has missed the last three games with an upper-body injury that he suffered in New York on October 23rd but could be back in the lineup on Friday. If he plays, expect Blankenburg to skate on the top defensive pairing with Zach Werenski.

Jankowski was recalled from Milwaukee (AHL) after a hot start where he scored five goals and nine points in seven games with the Admirals. In 272 career NHL games, the 28-year-old has 42 goals and 38 assists to go along with 69 PIMs.


Murray is the second of the same name to enter the league, with the 24-year-old signing a one-year contract with the Dallas Stars Monday. The undrafted rookie get the call after it was announced Jake Oettinger would be out at least a week due to injury. In five games so far this season with Texas, Murray is 2-2-0 with an impressive .926 SV%.

The Predators will be without one of their most physical presences as Borowiecki misses an indefinite amount of time due to an upper-body injury. The veteran has been out since October 22nd, and has failed to collect a point through his first four games while also picking up 12 PIMs.



Blankenburg was placed on the injured reserve retroactive to October 23rd with an elbow injury


Bellows was claimed off waivers from the New York Islanders earlier this week. He will make his Flyers debut Saturday.
