Varlamov turned aside 28 of 30 shots in Colorado’s win over the Capitals on Thursday. Varlamov has won three of his last four starts despite allowing at least three goals in three of those games. He doesn’t have the best numbers but he’s been able to record seven wins in 11 starts this season, but will be in tough against a great home team in Nashville.
Schneider allowed one goal on 25 shots in the Devils 1-0 overtime loss in Toronto on Thursday. Schneider has lost four of his six November starts (2-2-2) despite posting a 1.95 GAA and .942 SV%. He will face a strong offence in Winnipeg this afternoon and Schneider comes in at 3-1-1 with a 2.61 GAA and .926 SV% on the road this season.
Varlamov surrendered four goals on 32 shots in Colorado’s loss to Ottawa in Sweden last Friday. With the loss, Varlamov moves to 6-3-1 with a 3.18 GAA and .908 SV% on the season and tonight he gets a chance to face his former team on home ice, where he is 3-0-1 with a 3.24 GAA and .914 SV% this season.
Schneider allowed on goal on 33 shots in the Devils’ win over the Panthers on Saturday. With Keith Kinkaid starting on Sunday, the Devils will come back to Schneider tonight in Toronto. In his first start against the Maple Leafs, the 31-year-old stopped 47 of 50 shots in a 6-3 win.
Soshnikov recorded five goals and seven assists (12 points) in 14 games with the Marlies (AHL) before getting called up earlier this week. Soshnikov will replace Josh Leivo in the lineup tonight and comes into Thursday with 14 points (7G / 7A) in 67 career NHL games.

Pulock was a healthy scratch in St. Louis on Saturday, but will be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Hurricanes. Pulock has one goal, one assist and 11 shots on goal in his last six games.
Soshnikov had to be recalled today by the latest or he was eligible to return to the KHL according to a clause in his contract. The 24-year-old also earned a call-up by recording five goals and seven assists (12 points) in 14 games with the Marlies. Soshnikov has seven goals and seven assists (14 points) in 67 career games with the Maple Leafs.
Howard stopped 26 of 28 shots in the Red Wings win in Vancouver on Monday. Petr Mrazek struggled in Calgary on Thursday, so they’ll come back to Howard tonight vs. the Blue Jackets. The Red Wings have barely played at home so far this season—but Howard is 2-2-0 with a 3.01 GAA and .911 SV% in his first four starts at Little Caesars Arena.
