Romanov will be a surprise scratch for Game 1 of the postseason, as the Canadiens go with Jon Merrill on the third pairing. In addition to Romanov, Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Cole Caufield will both be scratched as well.
Head coach Barry Trotz would not commit to a starting goalie for Game 2, only saying that a "Russian" will be in net. Ilya Sorokin was in the starter's crease at the morning skate, suggesting that he will start again but tune in for warmups to find out for sure.
Reilly is one of 16 regulars who will not be in the Bruins lineup on Tuesday. The Bruins will need to recall multiple players from their taxi squad/AHL to fill out their lineup. Connor Clifton, who was a healthy scratch last night, should draw in to replace Reilly.
Barzal was scratched on Tuesday but will play Thursday vs. the Devils. Barzal has struggled over the last month, scoring just two goals with five assists (seven points) in his last 14 games.
Pageau was a surprise scratch on Monday but will quickly re-enter the lineup. Pageau is the only one that head coach Barry Trotz would confirm is back in the lineup but he said a few players will rest and that he will get some other fresh bodies in the lineup, so the Islanders' lineup is a mystery.
