With Casey Cizikas out for 3-to-4 weeks with a leg laceration, Bardreau returns to the NHL, where he has two points (1G / 1A) in nine career games. The 26-year-old has two goals and one assist in 29 AHL games this season.
Engvall has made a splash in his first NHL season, scoring seven goals with seven assists (14 points) in 35 games. The former seventh-round pick was over a point-per-game during his time in AHL this season and his two-year extension suggests that he's in Toronto's bottom-6 plans for 2021.
Cizikas suffered a cut on his leg in Tuesday's win over the Flyers and will miss at least three weeks. This is a huge blow for the Islanders, Cizikas often serves as a shutdown centre and is one of their top penalty killers. Cole Bardreau was recalled to take his spot on the roster.
Head coach Barry Trotz did not have an update on Cizikas' status post-game but the injury puts him in jeopard of missing Thursday's game in Nashville. Expect an update after the Islanders travel to Nashville.

Wilde was a second-round pick in 2018 (No.41 overall) and has collected just two assists in his first 20 AHL games. He'll finish out the year with Saginaw, where he was second on the team in points with 70 (19G / 51A) in 62 games last year.
With Cam Atkinson out, Foudy will make his debut on the wing on Monday. Head coach John Tortorella said they skipped the AHL and recalled Foudy from the OHL because "they needed offensive skill and speed that Foudy possesses." The 20-year-old forward has scored 20 goals with 23 assists (43 points) in 32 games with London this season.
With Alexander Wennberg out long-term, the Blue Jackets have been thinned out up the middle. Riley Nash was forced to move up to the third line but their fourth lineup has struggled as a result. The Blue Jackets decided to look past their AHL team and called-up one of their top prospects from the London Knights. Foudy was a first-round pick (No.18 overall) in 2018 and has scored 20 goals with 23 assists (43 points) in 32 OHL games this season. He is expected to make his NHL debut on the Blue Jackets’ third line on Monday. His stay will likely be a short one, at which point he’ll return to the OHL.
Pulock was forced to leave Saturday’s game late in the third period after being hit by Alex Killorn. Head coach Barry Trotz did not have an update on him postgame, so monitor his status during the Islanders' morning skate on Monday.
Varlamov allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Islanders win over the Stars on Tuesday. Thomas Greiss started Thursday but they'll come back Varlamov tonight in Tampa Bay. Varlamov is 8-3-1 with a 2.19 GAA, .926 SV% and one shutout on the road this year but the Lightning come in on an eight-game winning streak on home ice.
