Smith was forced to leave Sunday's game in Anaheim with an undisclosed injury and he's questionable to play Monday vs. the Sharks. With Keegan Kolesar battling a lower-body injury, expect Dylan Coghlan to dress as a seventh-defenseman if Smith can't play.

Brannstrom, who had two goals and three assists in 14 games with the Senators earlier in the season recently spent some time in the AHL. While with Belleville, he had five assists in four games and will likely replace Braydon Coburn on the tail-end of a back-to-back.

Nash suffered a knee injury in a mid-ice collision with Noel Acciari on Sunday and will miss at least one month. With Nash out, Zac Dalpe will draw back into the Blue Jackets lineup on Tuesday.

Nash was a healthy scratch on Tuesday but will replace Kevin Stenlund in the lineup on Thursday. Nash provides very little in terms of offence, scoring just two goals and four assists in 34 games.

Trocheck has missed the last eight games with an upper-body injury but could return to the lineup on Tuesday. Trocheck has skated between Andrei Svechnikov and Jesper Fast for the last two days, so all signs are pointing towards him playing in Chicago.
