Shesterkin (undisclosed) will start Game 3 vs. the Hurricanes.

Shesterkin was surprisingly "unfit to play" in Games 1 and 2 but will make his playoffs debut in an elimination game on Tuesday. Shesterkin was lights out after being recalled from the AHL in January. The rookie went 10-2-0 with a 2.52 GAA and .932 SV% in 12 starts and will need to bring that game tonight if the Rangers are going to keep their season alive.

The Ducks have signed Sam Carrick to a one-year contract extension worth $700K.

After spending the first seven years of his career in the Maple Leafs organization, Carrick has been with the Ducks since 2016-17. In that time, he has appeared in just 15 NHL games, amassing one goal and two assists. However, he has been prolific at the AHL-level, leading the team in points (61) last year and was leading San Diego in goals (23) and points (43) in 46 games before this year was paused.

The Rangers signed Patrick Khodorenko to an entry-level contract.

Khodorenko was an undrafted free agent and finished his senior season at Michigan State University, where he led the team in goals (16) and points (33) in 36 games. Khodorenko's contract begins in 2020-21, and he will join the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL) immediately on an Amateur Try-Out.

The Flames signed Connor Mackey to a one-year entry-level contract on March 20th.

Mackey was an undrafted free agent who just finished his junior year at Minnesota State University, where he led all of their blueliners with 24 points (7G / 14A) in 36 games. He was named WCHA First team All-Star and finished with a league-high plus-19 rating while helping the Mavericks to a league-best 31-5-2 record.

The Canadiens signed Alex Belzile to a one-year, two-way contract on March 19th.

Belzile is in his second season with Laval and earned an NHL-level contract after registering 14 points (7G / 7A) in 20 AHL games. The 28-year-old centre has recorded 132 points (54G / 78A) in 239 AHL games and 169 points (62G / 107A) in 168 ECHL games since turning pro in 2012-13.

The Rangers signed K'Andre Miller to a three-year entry-level contract on March 13th.

Miller was the No.22 overall pic in 2018 and wrapped up his second season at the University of Wisconsin with 18 points (7G / 11A) in 36 games. He started the college season on team suspension, which the Wisconsin State Journal reported was because of academic woes, and he had a disappointing showing in the World Junior Championships, where he had two assists in five games. He'll likely report to Hartford (AHL) if the NHL season resumes or for the start of the 2021 season.

Quick led the Kings onto the ice for warmups.

Quick stopped all 36 shots that he faced in the Kings shutout win over the Maple Leafs on Thursday. Quick has been excellent recently, allowing just two goals on the last 100 shots (.980 SV%) that he's faced. Shesterkin will start against the Stars on Tuesday.

Shesterkin was yanked after allowing five goals on 23 shots in the Rangers loss to the Devils on Saturday. It was a disastrous return to the crease for Shesterkin, who had his seven-game winning streak snapped in the process. Tonight he faces a Stars team that is on a five-game losing streak (0-3-2) while scoring just 1.40 goals per game.

Shesterkin (ribs) returns to the Rangers net on Saturday.

Shesterkin has missed the last six games with a rib injury he suffered in a car accident in late-February. Prior to getting hurt, Shesterkin won seven in a row while posting a 2.03 GAA and .945 SV%. The red-hot netminder will face the Devils for the second time this year--he was busy in the first meeting, stopping 46 of 49 shots in a 6-3 win.

Kreider (foot) will not play Sunday vs. the Flyers.

Kreider suffered a fractured foot in Philadelphia on Friday and will come out of the lineup for at least Sunday’s game. Head coach David Quinn did not have a timetable on Kreider’s absence prior to Sunday’s game but you have to anticipate they will be without him for at least a couple of weeks. Phil Di Giuseppe will move up to the top line to start Sunday’s game.
