Pinto (undisclosed) missed practice on Thursday and will be a game-time decision on Friday vs. Vegas.

Merilainen has been recalled from Belleville (AHL) and will back up on Tuesday in Utah.

Grieg (upper-body) is a possibility to return on Tuesday in Utah.

If Grieg is able to return from a three-game absence due to an upper-body injury, he could seamlessly be inserted into the lineup as David Perron (personal) will be away from the team. The 22-year-old Grieg had been held off the scoresheet in two games this season, recording a -2 plus/minus while averaging 14:03 time-on-ice.

Perron (personal) will not travel with Ottawa on their upcoming road trip.

Perron will likely miss at least the first game of a three-game road trip for the Ottawa Senators due to personal reasons. The 36-year-old veteran has had trouble establishing himself in his first season with the Senators, scoring zero points and recording a -4 plus/minus through five games of playing predominantly on the third line.

Sogaard has been recalled from Belleville (AHL).

Sogaard's second call-up this week might indicate that Linus Ullmark (muscle strain) is not ready to return to the crease yet. The 23-year-old Sogaard was a last-minute emergency call-up on Monday and opened the contest against the Los Angeles Kings by backing up Anton Forsberg. Sogaard entered in relief of Forsberg midway through the game and allowed four goals on 17 shots (.765 SV%) but salvaged an 8-7 overtime victory.

Greig (upper-body) is out week-to-week.

Ottawa is expected to be without its 22-year-old centre for "a week or two" as he recovers from an upper-body injury. Grieg is in his third NHL campaign and had yet to pick up a point in his first two appearances for the Senators' before his injury. Adam Guadette replaced him in Ottawa's lineup on Monday.

Ullmark (undisclosed) is not dressing on Monday vs. Los Angeles.

Ullmark did not practice on Sunday due to what Senators' head coach Travis Green referred to as a "maintenance day," but did not dress for Monday afternoon's contest against the Los Angeles Kings. The Senators recalled Mads Sogaard and turned to Anton Forsberg as their starting netminder on Monday in the interim. The 31-year-old Ullmark signed a four-year, $33 million contract extension before the start of the season and was playing well early in his tenure with the Senators, posting a 2.58 GAA and .914 SV% in two contests (1-1-0).
