Ridly Greig (lower body) will be out indefinetly and is expected to miss some time.

Grieg left the Senators' game vs. Los Angeles after just 2:05 TOI due to a lower-body injury and is expected to miss some time going forward. The 21-year-old rookie was enjoying a great start to his 2023-24 season, as he had two goals, five assists, 18 SOG, four PIMs and a +7 plus/minus in nine games prior to the injury.

The Senators have recalled Zack MacEwen from Belleville (AHL).

MacEwen will return to the Senators for a second-time this season where he had an assist and a +1 plus/minus while averaging only 6:38 TOI and is expected to draw into the lineup Saturday vs. Tampa. The 27-year-old grinder had a successful trip to the minors, where he had two goals in four games played with Belleville (AHL).

Ridly Greig (undisclosed) is day-to-day and expected to miss the next few games for Ottawa.

Greig played only three shits on Thursday, 2:05 time-on-ice, before being forced to leave the game with an undisclosed injury. Though Greig's injury isn't considered overly concerning, he is still expected to miss the next few games. Greig has seven points (2G / 5A) through nine games and was having a noticeable impact as a rookie for the Senators this season.

Ullmark will start against the Panthers on Monday.

Ullmark will return to the Bruins' crease on Monday after Jeremy Swayman got the call in Saturday's 4-1 victory over the Red Wings. Ullmark and the Bruins remain undefeated in regulation on the season, but they both suffered their first overtime loss of the year in Ullmark's most recent start on Thursday against the Ducks. The reigning Vezina Trophy winner allowed four goals on 32 shots enroute to the 4-3 defeat. He'll be hoping to get back in the win column tonight with the Bruins currently being favoured at -165 over the Panthers.

Jan Jenik has been recalled from the Tucson Roadrunners (AHL).

Jenik had a goal, two assists, and a +2 plus/minus in three games with Tucson (AHL) to start the 2023-24 season and has been recalled to Arizona on Friday. The 23-year-old right-winger returns to the Coyotes for his fourth NHL season and has four goals, five points, and 25 SOG in 17 career NHL games played.

Thomas Chabot (fractured hand) will be out 4-6 weeks.

Chabot unfortunately finds himself in familiar territory, being forced to miss a significant amount of time due to injury as he will be recovering from a fractured hand. Over the past three seasons, Chabot has missed between 14 to 33 games due to various injuries. In seven games this season, Chabot accumulated three points (0G / 3A), 18 shots, and a -1 plus/minus rating. Fortunately for the Senators, they have several strong options on the blueline that will be able to eat into Chabot's minutes, namely Jake Sanderson and Jakob Chychrun.

Shane Pinto has been suspended 41 games for activities relating to sports wagering.

The NHL has issued an unprecedented 41-game suspension for Shane Pinto for activities relating to sports wagering, the first suspension for gambling in hockey in 75 years. Pinto, currently without a contract after unsuccessful offseason negotiations, would be eligible to return on January 21, 2024. The Senators forward had 35 points (20G / 15A) in 82 games last season.

Linus Ullmark starts Thursday vs. Anaheim.

The Bruins' goaltending duo of Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman have paved the way for their 6-0-0 start to the season. Ullmark is proving that last year's Vezina trophy was not a fluke as he has a 1.00 GAA and .962 SV%. A league-best 1.17 goals allowed per game for the Bruins has overshadowed any expected shortcomings after losing key offensive pieces in the offseason. The Bruins are expected to keep the winning streak going as they are massive -303 home favourites against the Anaheim Ducks.

Forsberg will start Tuesday's game against the Sabres.

In game six of the season for the Ottawa Senators, Forsberg will start for the third time. In two games (2-0-0), Forsberg has registered a 1.50 GAA and .933 SV%, clearly outperforming his counterpart, Joonas Korpisalo, thus far. Forsberg will hope to further cement himself as the early-season favourite in net for the Senators as they face off against a Buffalo Sabres team that suffered a 3-1 loss last night and is averaging only 2.17 goals scored per game. The Senators are listed as -179 home favourites tonight.

Jan Jenik has been recalled from the Tucson Roadrunners (AHL).

Jenik has already played two games for the Coyotes this season, going without a point and registering four hits and four penalty minutes. Jenik and Zach Sanford, who were both called up on Monday, are both candidates to cycle in and out of the lineup as Jason Zucker will be out week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

Jan Jenik
Zub (upper-body) will miss a second-straight contest Tuesday vs. Buffalo.

Zub will miss his second consecutive game as he recovers from an upper-body injury. Zub was off to a hot start this season, recording three points (1G / 2A), nine blocks, and eight shots in four games. Jacob Bernard-Docker was recalled by the Senators and should continue filling in for Zub on defence.
