The Senators signed Jacob Bernard-Docker to a two-year contract extension worth $1.61 million ($805K AAV).

Bernard-Docker split his time between the NHL and AHL during the 2023 season. While in Ottawa, the 23-year-old defenseman had one assist, 22 shots and 23 hits in 19 games. He figures to be in the mix for regular playing time during the 2023-24 season.

The Senators signed Jacob Larsson to a one-year, two-way contract extension.

Larsson spent most of 2023 in the AHL, where he had 17 points (4G / 13A) in 55 games with Belleville. During his time with Ottawa, he was held pointless with four shots and seven hits in seven games. It sounds like the Senators couldn't get Travis Hamonic re-signed, so they re-signed Larsson to maintain the blueline depth.

Jeremy Davies has signed a one-year, two-way contract through the 2023-24 season.

Davies had 11 goals, 12 assists, 90 PIMs and a +4 plus/minus through 66 games with Rochester (AHL) in 2022-23 and has signed a one-year, two-way contract through the 2023-24 season. The 26-year-old defenseman has appeared in 23 NHL games picking up three assists since being drafted in the seventh round (192 overall) by the New Jersey Devils in 2016.

Adam Gaudette signed a one-year, two-way contract extension ($775,000/$400,000) through the 2023-24 season.

Gaudette had 27 goals, 24 assists, 57 PIMs and a +7 plus/minus through 65 games with both Toronto (AHL) and Springfield (AHL) and has signed a one-year, two-way contract extension ($775,000/$400,000) through the 2023-24 season. The 26-year-old centre was acquired by the Blues as part of the Ryan O'Reilly trade and has 70 points (27G/43A) across 218 career NHL games played.

The Senators signed Oskar Pettersson to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The Senators selected Pettersson in the third-round (No.72 overall) in the 2022 NHL Draft. The 19-year-old centre had one goal and one assist in 29 games with Rogle BK Angelholm (SHL) during the 2023 season. He also represented Sweden at the 2023 World Juniors, where he had two goals and two assists in seven games.

The Senators signed Nikolas Matinpalo to a one-year, entry-level contract.

Matinpalo was an undrafted free agent from Finland, who had 16 points (7G / 9A) in 51 games for Assat Pori (Liiga) in 2023. Following his signing with the Senators, Matinpalo is a part of the 2024 plans but will likely have to work his way up from Belleville (AHL).

Mike Amadio is expected to be a healthy scratch for Game 5 vs. Edmonton.

Amadio has two goals, three assists, six SOG, four PIMs and a +4 plus/minus through nine games this season but will be a healthy scratch for Game 5 vs. Edmonton. The 26-year-old will be replaced by Teddy Bleuger in the Golden Knights' lineup.

Linus Ullmark will start Game 6 vs. Florida on Friday.

Ullmark allowed four goals on 25 shots (.840 SV%) as he failed to close out the Florida Panthers as Boston's series lead fell to 3-2 with a 4-3 loss last game. The 29-year-old has been mediocre in the first round compared to his Vezina Trophy-worthy regular season, as he's 3-2-0 with a 2.79 GAA and .912 SV%. He will hope to close out the series yet again as he takes on the Florida Panthers in Game 6, who finished the regular season first in shots on goal per game (36.8).

Linus Ullmark will start Game 5 in Boston.

Ullmark stopped 41 of 43 shots (.953 SV%) to take a demanding 3-1 series lead as he easily topped the Florida Panthers 6-2 in his last start. The 29-year-old was the NHL's best goalie during the regular season and has continued his incredibly strong play right into the post-season as he is 3-1-0 with a 2.55 GAA and .926 SV%. He will be hoping to close out the series as he takes on Florida in Boston Tuesday, who finished the regular season first in the NHL in shots per game (36.8) and sixth in shots (3.51).

Zack MacEwen is expected to make his 2022-23 playoff debut in Game 3 vs. Edmonton.

MacEwen has yet to appear in the 2022-23 playoffs but will be in the Kings' lineup for Game 3 as he replaced Arthur Kaliyev on Los Angeles fourth line. The 26-year-old had four goals, six assists, 73 SOG, 66 PIMs and a -11 plus/minus through 56 games with Los Angeles and Philadelphia this season.

Linus Ullmark will be a game-time decision after not taking part in the morning skate ahead of Game 3 (undisclosed).

Ullmark was not at Boston's morning skate Friday and will be a game-time decision for Game 3 due to an undisclosed injury. The 29-year-old struggled in Game 2 after allowing five goals on 29 shots (.828 SV%) to even the series at 1-1 after two games.

He takes on the Florida Panthers yet again, who finished the 2022-23 regular season with the most shots on goal per game (3.51) across the entire NHL.

Jenik failed to pick up a point in his two-game showing with Arizona but had four PIMs before being reassigned to Tucson (AHL) on Friday. The 22-year-old returns to the Roadrunners, where he has seven goals, 16 assists, 50 PIMs and a +3 plus/minus through 30 games.

Anderson allowed six goals on 20 shots (.700 SV%) for his second-straight loss as he was defeated by the Nashville Predators in his previous start. The 41-year-old may potentially be making the final start of his impressive career, taking his 10-11-2 record, .908 SV% and 3.07 GAA into game 82. He will take on the Ottawa Senators, who have won their last two contests and are seventh in the NHL in shots per game (33.5).
