Ullmark will start Friday vs. the Bruins.

Ullmark allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Sabres loss in Ottawa on Monday. Ullmark has lost three of his last four (1-2-1) while posting a 2.76 GAA and .903 SV% but will face the Bruins for the second time this season. He allowed three goals on 27 shots in a 3-2 loss in Boston the first time around and is a risky option even with Torey Krug and Charlie McAvoy missing on the Bruins' blueline.

Anderson (knee) has been activated from IR and is expected to be available for Saturday.

Anderson has missed the last six games with a knee injury that he suffered in Philadelphia two weeks ago. Anderson returns right as Anders Nilsson goes on IR with a concussion, so Anderson will likely share the crease with Marcus Hogberg moving forward. The veteran has struggled to a 3.01 GAA and .901 SV% in 14 starts in 2019-20.

Ullmark allowed three goals on 26 shots in the Sabres' loss to the Islanders on Saturday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Ullmark, who will make his fifth straight start tonight in Toronto. In his first start against the Maple Leafs, Ullmark allowed four goals on 29 shots in a 6-4 win (Nov.29) but this time he will not be going head-to-head with Michael Hutchinson.

Ullmark allowed three goals on 39 shots in the Sabres win over the Predators on Thursday. Ullmark has won three consecutive games while posting a 2.32 GAA and .928 SV%. Today he will start for the sixth time in seven games and has gone 4-4-1 with a 3.13 GAA, .910 SV% and one shutout on the road this year.

Ullmark allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Sabres' win over the Blues on Tuesday. Ullmark has taken over as the Sabres' No.1 and will make his fifth start in Buffalo's last six games. He has won four of his last five starts while stopping 148 of 161 shots (.919 SV%). The 26-year-old is 5-2-1 with a 2.49 GAA and. 922 SV% on home-ice this season.

Ullmark allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Sabres win in Edmonton on Sunday. Ullmark has won three of his last four starts while posting a 2.77 GAA and .916 SV%. With Carter Hutton continuing to struggle, Ullmark's workload continues to increase. He is 4-2-1 with a 2.56 GAA and .921 SV% on home-ice and the Blues come in at 8-1-2 while scoring 3.09 goals per game in their last 11 road games.

The Blackhawks have recalled Matthew Highmore from Rockford (AHL).

Highmore had no points in two games with the Blackhawks this season but has picked up 12 points (4G / 8A) in 21 AHL games. Andrew Shaw was placed on LTIR on Monday, opening up a roster spot and clearing cap space to bring up Highmore and Adam Boqvist.

The Senators have placed Craig Anderson on IR.

Anderson started Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia but left injured early in the first period. Anderson was hurt on a goal that ended up being disallowed on an offside review. With the veteran netminder on IR again, Anders Nilsson will be the primary starter with Marcus Hogberg coming up from Belleville to serve as his backup.
