MacArthur and Robin Lehner both suffered concussions in their collision on Monday night. MacArthur was moved to IR on Thursday and is out indefinitely.
MacArthur, who was injured in a collision with Robin Lehner last night, was not on the ice for practice this morning and will be held out of tomorrow’s game. It was a scary looking collision, so there is no surprise that MacArthur won’t play tomorrow.
MacArthur was injured in a collision with his teammate Robin Lehner, which forced both players from the game. Coach Cameron did not have an update on MacArthur’s status after the game.
MacArthur is day-to-day with an illness, which means that J.G Pageau will likely be back in the lineup vs. the Oilers this afternoon.
Eller took part in the Canadiens morning skate and it sounds like he will play tonight, but that decision likely won’t be made until pre game warmups.
Eller suffered a lower-body injury on Sunday, but he is on the ice for the morning skate, which is a good sign that he will be available tonight vs. the Sabres. Monitor his status after the game day skate.
Eller reportedly seemed OK after the game, but did not want to risk returning not at 100%. Monitor his status prior to Tuesday’s game vs. the Sabres.
Perron left Monday’s practice early with cold-like symptoms, but he was back on the ice for the Penguins game day skate this morning. He will be a game-time decision along with Kris Letang and Patric Hornqvist.
Giroux was listed as a game-time decision, but will play tonight vs. Ottawa. He will centre the top-line with Brayden Schenn and Jakub Voracek on his wings. Giroux has 13 goals and 30 assists (43 points) in 38 games this season.
Giroux had a brief chat with trainers at the bench after a few laps and is now taking line rushes in warmups, that is a good sign that he will be back in tonight. With Giroux coming back, Zac Rinaldo will go from first line winger to healthy scratch.
Giroux missed the morning skate, but is listed as a game-time decision. He was listed as GTD on Saturday as well and did not come out for warmups, that is not likely to be the case tonight. Giroux did jump on the ice late in the skate just to shoot some pucks, so monitor his status during pre-game warmups.
Giroux, who missed Saturday’s game with a leg laceration, is not on the ice this morning after missing Monday’s practice as well. This does not bode well for Giroux playing tonight, but expect an update after the skate.
Giroux missed practice on Monday, but could still play on Tuesday vs. the Senators. Giroux said there is some discomfort when he tries to wear his skate because the cut is on his ankle. Monitor his status during Tuesday’s morning skate.
Giroux was listed as a game-time decision and the Flyers said that he would take warmups, but he is not on the ice for warmups and will not play vs. the Devils. With Giroux and Scott Laughton out, the Flyers will go with seven defensemen.
Giroux who was cut near his ankle in Friday’s game, will take part in warmups and then he, along with Flyers medical and coaching staff will determined whether Giroux will be in the lineup vs. the Devils. Giroux has 15 points (6G / 9A) in 13 games over the last month.
Giroux left Saturday’s game with a leg injury and did not return. Giroux was cut near his ankle and he originally feared that he severed his Achilles tendon. "It was pretty scary," Giroux said. "I tried to get up, but it felt really weird. I tried to put pressure on it, but it didn't feel too good.” The injury obviously looked worse than it was and he is expected to be in the lineup tonight vs. the Devils.
There is no word on how all four lines will shakeout or who will come out of the lineup, but we do know that Perron will start his Penguins career on a line with Crosby. He leaves the dumpster fire in Edmonton to play with the best player in the World, not a bad deal for Perron. His fantasy value is obviously on the rise.
Perron, who was acquired from the Oilers on Friday, did not play last night vs. Tampa Bay but will play tonight vs. the Canadiens. Because of the back-to-back the Penguins did not have a morning skate, so there is no word on who Perron is going to play with tonight. You would have to think that they will ease him in and they could move him around between Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin to see where he fits best.
The Penguins have battled injuries all season long, so they have shipped a draft pick to a rebuilding team for a top-6 forward. Perron had a career high-28 goals and 57 points last season, but has just 19 points (5G / 14A) in 38 games this season. His fantasy value is certainly on the rise now that he moves from the 27th ranked offence to the sixth best.
