Bobby Brink will be a healthy scratch Saturday vs. the Islanders.

Brink has four goals, six assists, 25 SOG, four PIMs and a +3 plus/minus through 16 games this season but will be the odd man out of the Flyers' lineup Saturday vs. the New York Islanders. The 22-year-old right-winger will be replaced by Morgan Frost in the Flyers' lineup.

Samuel Ersson will start Saturday vs. the New York Islanders.

Ersson has backed up the Flyers' crease for the last two games but with Philadelphia on the second half of a back-to-back he will likely start Saturday. The 24-year-old has struggled to duplicate his success from last season with his 3-3-1 record, .863 SV% and 3.22 GAA. He takes on the surprisingly hot New York Islanders, who have won three-straight games but are 29th in the NHL in goals per game (2.68).

Petersen recorded his first victory in nearly a calendar year, saving 35 of 37 shots (.946 SV%) in a 4-2 victory over his former team, the Los Angeles Kings. Petersen being loaned to Lehigh Valley (AHL) is a likely sign that Carter Hart is on the verge of returning to the Flyers lineup.

Samuel Ersson will start Friday vs. Anaheim.

Carter Hart was originally the confirmed starter for the Flyers on Friday but has since been ruled out of the game due to illness. Ersson has started two of the last three games for the Flyers but has struggled to guide his team to victory. In five games (1-3-1), Ersson has an ugly 3.52 GAA and .830 SV%. The Flyers are slight -110 road favourites against an Anaheim Ducks team that will be without star forward Trevas Zegras.

Ryan Poehling is expected to be a healthy scratch Friday vs. Anaheim.

Peohling has an assist, 10 SOG, two PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 11 games so far in 2023-24 but will be the odd man out of the Flyers' lineup Friday vs. Anaheim. The 24-year-old centre will give way to Morgan Frost, who has been a healthy scratch for the Flyers previous two games.
