Ersson will start in Utah on Tuesday.

The Flyers have been outscored 10-0 in their previous three games (0-3-0) and will attempt to return to the win column with Ersson between the pipes on Tuesday against the Utah Hockey Club. Ersson played well in his most recent outing, saving 20 of 22 shots (.909 SV%) in a 2-0 loss to the Colorado Avalanche. He has a .917 SV% in his last 12 games (8-4-0). Philadelphia enters Tuesday's contest as +126 road underdogs against a Utah squad that has scored two or fewer goals in five straight (0-3-2).

Ristolainen (undisclosed) is considered day-to-day and is unsure if he will play on Tuesday in Utah.

Ristolainen exited Sunday's 2-0 loss to the Colorado Avalanche after 12:06 time-on-ice due to an undisclosed injury but is not expected to be sidelined long. The 30-year-old defenseman is averaging 20:31 time-on-ice and has 15 points (2G / 13A) in 54 games this season.

The Flyers have recalled Jacob Gaucher from Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Gaucher comes up from the AHL after an injury to Owen Tippett and the trade of Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee on Thursday. Gaucher could be in line to make his NHL debut on Sunday after scoring 14 goals and 13 assists (27 points) in 44 AHL games this season.

The Flyers have acquired Andrei Kuzmenko, Jakob Pelletier, a second-round pick and a seventh-round pick from the Flames for Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost.

Kuzmenko broke onto the NHL scene in the 2022-23 season with a tremendous 74 points (39G / 35A) in 81 games with the Vancouver Canucks. The now 28-year-old has struggled to recapture that scoring prowess, with only 61 points (26G / 35A) in 109 games since.
