Johnson suffered a lower-body injury while blocking a shot on Saturday and will not be available for Tuesday's game vs. Tampa and has been placed on the injured reserve. Head coach Jared Bednar said they do not have a timeline for Johnson's return. The 34-year-old has seven assists across 51 games played this season.

Ersson had a 15-10-1 record, .911 SV% and 2.58 GAA with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL) and has been recalled for a second time Monday to the Philadelphia Flyers. The 23-year-old was exceptional in his previous NHL stint this season, going an undefeated 5-0-0 with a 2.37 GAA and .918 SV%.

The Flames do not play again until after the All-Star break, so they sent a trio of young players, including Pelletier, back to the AHL.

Kuzmenko signed a one-year deal with the Canucks in the offseason after seven season in the KHL. In his first season in North America, Kuzmenko has scored 21 goals with 22 assists (43 points) in 47 games, playing primarily on a line with Elias Pettersson.

Poehling has not played since Dec. 30th due to an upper-body injury but will be a game-time decision Friday as Pittsburgh takes on Ottawa. The 24-year-old has four goals, four assists, 34 SOG and a +3 plus/minus through 31 games prior to the injury.

Ersson stopped all 28 shots for his first career shutout as he won his fourth straight game in a flawless victory over Buffalo in his last start. The 23-year-old rookie has been unbeatable throughout his first six career games, with his 4-0-0 record, 2.44 GAA and .917 SV%. He will be taking on the Anaheim Ducks, who will be looking to snap a four-game losing skid after a 4-3 overtime loss to Pittsburgh in their last game.

Ryan Poehling has been placed on the injured reserve with an upper-body injury retroactive to December 30th, 2022. The 24-year-old has four goals, four assists, 34 SOG and a +3 plus/minus through 31 games this season prior to his injury and is eligible to return any time.

Richard had a goal, an assist, six SOG, two PIMs and a +2 plus/minus through seven games with the Canadiens but will head back to the Laval Rocket (AHL). Prior to his call-up, he had 18 goals, and 31 points in 27 games with Laval.

Ersson stopped 28 of 29 shots (.966 SV%) for his third straight win as he defeated the Anaheim Ducks in his previous start. The 23-year-old has had a solid four-game showing with the Flyers so far, with his 3-0-0 record, 2.90 GAA and .905 SV%. He will face the Buffalo Sabres, who have won eight of their last nine games and are 1st in the NHL in goals per game (4.0).

Richard has a goal, an assist, six SOG, and a +2 plus/minus through seven games so far this season in a bottom-six role with the Canadiens but he will be a healthy scratch Monday. Mike Hoffman will take his spot in the lineup.

Pelletier has had an excellent AHL season to date, scoring 15 goals with 19 assists (34 points) in 31 games. The 2019 No.26 overall pick has been terrific as a 21-year-old, second-year pro and could make his NHL debut on Sunday.
