Derick Brassard found himself back on the shelf over the weekend, so Frost may be back in the Flyers' lineup on Tuesday. Frost has split his time between the AHL and NHL pretty equally this season. He's posted 18 points (5G / 13A) in 20 AHL games and has seven points (2G / 5A) in 26 NHL games.
Ristolainen is a little "banged up" after Wednesday's game, so he'll come out of the lineup on Saturday afternoon. Kevin Connauton will draw into the lineup to replace him.
Couturier has been sidelined since December 18th and with the Flyers pretty far off of the pace, they've elected to shut Couturier down for the rest of the season. He finishes with six goals and 11 assists (17 points) in 29 games. According to Flyers' GM Chuck Fletcher, Couturier will need three months to recover and will healthy to start the 2022-23 season.
Simmonds stayed back in Toronto on Wednesday to be with his wife for the birth of their child. The Maple Leafs said there was a possibility he would join the team in Calgary and play, but Jake Muzzin will dress as a seventh defenseman to replace him.
Frost missed Monday's practice and remains under the weather, so he'll be a game-time decision vs. the Jets. If Frost can't play, Connor Bunnaman will move up to the third line and Jackson Cates will draw into the lineup.
Deslauriers missed the last two games with an undisclosed injury but will be back in the lineup on Monday. Deslauriers will likely replace Buddy Robinson on the Ducks' fourth line.
Deslauriers will not be available for Thursday's game in Montreal. Josh Manson will return from the COVID-19 protocol list, so the Ducks could go with 11 forwards and seven defensemen.
Cates has scored two goals and four assists (six points) in 21 AHL games this season. The 24-year-old has scored one goal with one assist in 11 career NHL games. He'll replace Kevin Hayes (lower-body) on the active roster.
Farabee suffered an upper-body injury on Thursday and is expected to miss at least one month. James van Riemsdyk or Oskar Lindblom are expected to replace him on the top line and Wade Allison was called up from Lehigh Valley (AHL) to take his spot on the roster.
Tippett was recalled from the AHL prior to Tuesday's game but served as a healthy scratch. Tippett will replace Patric Hornqvist (undisclosed) in the lineup against the Oilers. Tippett has scored four goals with seven assists (11 points) in 33 games this season.
