Sedlak suffered an ankle injury in Monday’s practice and will be sidelined until early/mid-December. With Sedlak out, Zac Dalpe will likely shift to centre on the Blue Jackets’ fourth line.

Tippett will make his NHL debut on Tuesday.
Tippett was the No.10 overall pick in this summer’s draft and tonight he will debut on the Panthers’ third line. The 18-year-old winger had 75 points (44G / 31A) in 60 games with Mississauga (OHL) last season and will play with Jared McCann and Jamie McGinn tonight.
Sanheim is expected to be a healthy scratch on Saturday.
Sanheim will make his NHL debut on Thursday.
Sanheim was a healthy scratch in the first game of the season, but will replace Brandon Manning in game No.2 of the season. Sanheim had some dominant games during the preseason and had 37 points (10G / 27A) in 76 games with Lehigh Valley (AHL) a season ago.
The Canadiens have acquired Nicolas Deslauriers from the Sabres for Zach Redmond.
Deslauriers is a bruising winger who appeared in 42 games with the Sabres last season, picking up just two assists and 38 PIMS. He is a depth forward for the Canadiens.
Ryan Ellis (knee) is expected to resume skating in approximately three weeks; return to the lineup not expected until January.
Ellis underwent knee surgery in June and is expected to miss the first three months of the season, at the very least. This is a huge blow to the Predators’ talented blueline as Ellis is coming off of a career-highs in goals (16) and points (38). With Ellis sidelined, look for offseason acquisition Alexei Emelin to play a more prominent role and for Matt Irwin to see regular playing time.
The Panthers signed Owen Tippett to a three-year, entry-level contract.
The Flyers re-signed Scott Laughton to a two-year extension worth $1.924M ($962K AAV).
The Senators have signed Nate Thompson to a two-year extension worth $3.3M ($1.65M AAV).
The Kings have signed Cal Petersen to a two-year entry level contract.
Petersen, 22, was a fifth round pick in 2013 and signed with the Kings as a college free agent after three years at Notre Dame. Last season, Petersen was 23-12-5 with a 2.22 GAA and .926 SV% in 40 starts with the Fighting Irish and should report to Ontario (AHL) to start 2017-18.
The Flyers select Morgan Frost with the No.27 overall pick.
The Canadiens select Ryan Poehling with the 25th overall pick.
Poehling is a rangey player, standing in at 6-foot-2, but needs to add bulk to that frame. Poehling posted seven goals and six assists (13 points) in 35 games in his first season with St. Cloud State.
The Florida Panthers select Owen Tippett with the No.10 overall pick.
Tippett might be the best pure goal scorer in this draft class. He has great quickness and an NHL-level shot that saw him lead the Mississauga Steelheads in both goals (44) and points (75).
Ellis (lower-body) returns to the Predators lineup on Saturday.
Deslauriers will be back in the Sabres lineup on Wednesday.
