At this point, all three are doubtful to suit up tomorrow against the Red Wings.
Previous reports had Malkin not ruled out tonight's game. By all accounts, he has looked better in practice and probably draws back in shortly. After a setback on his surgically repaired knee, the Pens have no need to rush him back.
Crosby is craving contact but continues to be babied during practice. Until he fully gets hit, don't expect him in the lineup.
Somewhat better news for fantasy hockey owners although the more time he takes to recover, the better he will likely play down the stretch. Stay tuned for a further update.
Time to slot Letang back into the lineup after a two-game suspension. Over his first seven games, the Montreal native scored a goal and seven points. With his battery mate Brooks Orpik back in the lineup, his value can only increase.
Cryptic chance that you could get to use Malkin in your lineups on Saturday.
Malkin obviously will not play tonight. He will continue to rest his ailing knee in order to be fully healthy later in the season.
Good to hear that Crosby continues to take contact without any setbacks. As always, stay tuned for a further update.
With Brian Strait re-called the team at least can dress six defensemen tonight.
Look for Derick Brassard to stay on the top line with Rick Nash and R.J. Umberger. Stay tuned for a further update on the wounded top liner.
Don't expect to see any of these four players in the lineup over the next two road games. Through the team's first six games, they boast a league-best eight points.

Earlier in the preseason, we advised fantasy owners to be weary of Jeff Carter's achy foot. Following surgery to both feet, they simply are a target on the ice drawing the attention of his opposition. While he was day-to-day due to a bruised foot just a few weeks ago, according to Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch, via Twitter, he is likely out Tuesday due to a hairline fracture in his foot.
Malkin should sit out a few games before returning. At less than 100 percent he remains one of the most dynamic players in the League. Expect him to draw back into the lineup when healthy.
No word on who replaces him in the lineup. At this point, Malkin's ailment is diagnosed as soreness in his knee. Stay tuned for a further update.
Crosby skated on the top line today which is clearly a good sign. Hopefully he takes a few bumps and continues to recover from his now infamous concussion.
Malkin was not at today's morning skate. In his place on the top line was Sidney Crosby. More news as it comes in.
Eller moves up to the top line and could pot a few goals playing alongside an excellent playmaker. Last year, the former 13th overall pick scored seven goals and 17 points over his first 77 games as a Hab. Look for him to improve on those totals.
Carter was held out of yesterday's practice due to his bout with the flu. Look for him to not miss any game play as the team tries to get him back to 100 percent.
Malkin in, set your lineups accordingly.
