

Not only does it look like Thornton will be back in the lineup, it looks like he'll play on the top line with Aleksander Barkov and Carter Verhaeghe. Thornton has just four goals and two assists (six points) in 24 games this season but will be amped up to face his former team in San Jose.

Wennberg will miss Saturday's game against the Montreal Canadiens due to an upper-body injury. With Joonas Donskoi going on IR, Kole Lind was recalled from the AHL and will likely take Wennberg's spot in the lineup.

The Sharks announced on Sunday that Ferraro had surgery to repair a left fibula fracture and is expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks. In a corresponding move, the Sharks recalled Santeri Hatakka from San Jose (AHL).



Carlsson was a healthy scratch vs. the Blue Jackets but will replace Olli Juolevi in the lineup on Saturday. Carlsson has two goals and six assists (eight points) while averaging 12:20 TOI/gm in 29 games this season.

White suffered a shoulder injury in the preseason and missed nearly five months but is set to make his season debut on Saturday. The Senators said that he will move around the lineup, playing both centre and wing. White had 10 goals and eight assists (18 points) in 45 games a season ago.

White has yet to play this season due to a shoulder injury that he suffered in the preseason. He is targeting a debut on Saturday and should slide directly into the Senators' top-6.

After claiming Adam Brooks off of waivers from the Golden Knights, the Maple Leafs needed to clear a roster spot. They did so by sending Liljegren back to the Marlies, so look for Travis Dermott to replace him in the lineup on Thursday.

Ferraro missed just one game after taking a puck to the face in Florida on Saturday. Ferraro should be back on the top pairing with Brent Burns and comes in with 11 points (2G / 9A) in 41 games.

Ferraro took a puck to the face on Saturday and had to get some dental work done, so he will not play on Sunday. Ryan Merkley will re-enter the lineup to replace Ferraro, who is considered day-to-day.

Thornton will play against his former team on Saturday after sitting as a healthy scratch for the last three games. Thornton has been quiet offensively this season, scoring just four goals with two assists in 22 games.




Tonight will be Grundstrom's first game since January 1st, as he replaces Alex Turcotte on the third line with Quinton Byfield and Dustin Brown. Grundstrom has five goals and three assists in 26 games this season.
