

Ferraro has been sidelined since February 26th but is set to play Saturday vs. the Stars. Ferraro will replace Ryan Merkley in the lineup and enters with 11 points (2G / 9A) in 48 games this season.

Thornton played in two straight games, registering an assist in both, but will come out of the lineup with Anton Lundell (lower-body/illness) returning to the lineup.

Knyshov has not play in 2021-22 after undergoing surgery in October and picking up an infection from that surgery. He was ruled out for the rest of the year but still signed an extension and is expected to be ready for 2022-23 training camp.


Couture missed the Sharks' last game with a bruised lung but is expected to play Wednesday in Arizona. Couture has scored 21 goals with 26 assists (47 points) in 60 games this season.




Couture suffered an upper-body injury in Edmonton on Thursday and will not play on Saturday. All X-rays came back negative, so the Sharks anticipate that he could practice on Monday and play Wednesday.

Walman was acquired as a part of the Nick Leddy trade on Monday and will immediately draw into the Red Wings lineup vs. the Flyers. Walman had three goals and three assists (six points) in 32 games this season.






Wennberg has missed the last two games with an undisclosed injury but is set to play Saturday vs. the Red Wings. Wennberg has picked up seven goals and 19 assists (26 points) in 60 games this season.

Liljegren has played in seven straight games, picking up six assists in that span, but will come out of the lineup on Saturday. Travis Dermott will be back in to replace him.


Sturm, who was acquired from Minnesota for Tyson Jost on Tuesday, will start his Avalanche career on the third line with Alex Newhook and J.T. Compher on his wings. Sturm has scored 20 goals with 16 assists (36 points) in 111 career NHL games.
