With Bobby Ryan (hand) not in Toronto, White will play with Matt Duchene and Mike Hoffman on the Senators second line tonight. Filip Chlapik will likely take his spot on the fourth line.
Walman served as the Blues extra defnseman during their brief road-trip. With Vince Dunn (illness) returning from IR, Walman goes back to the Wolves, where he had two goals and 11 assists (13 points) in 34 games.
Walman, 21, was a third-round pick (No.82 overall) in 2014 and has 13 points (2G / 11A) in 34 games with the Wolves this season. Walman will likely serve as an extra defenseman during the Blues’ short trip with Vince Dunn (illness) on IR.
White, 20, missed the start of the season after fracturing his wrist in the preseason. Upon returning to Belleville’s lineup, White collected 13 points (5G / 8A) in 27 games. Look for the 2015 No.21 overall pick to make his season debut on Saturday.
Wennberg suffered the injury last Thursday in Pittsburgh and after being scratched from Saturday’s game vs. the Flyers, the Blue Jackets announced that he is expected to miss at least one month. Wennberg was placed on IR and Lukas Sedlak will likely move up to the third line while Wennberg is out.
The Sharks foreshadowed that Couture would likely be out until after the Christmas break so him not playing tonight should come as no surprise. With Couture out, look for Tomas Hertl to remain as the Sharks’ second line centre.
