Schenn has been out since December 12th but was on the ice for Tuesday's practice and is expected to play Wednesday in Pittsburgh. Schenn will return on the wing and will skate with Ivan Barbashev and Pavel Buchnevich on the third line. Schenn had 10 points (4G / 6A) in 19 games before getting hurt.
This is a huge blow for the Blue Jackets, who will also be without Zach Werenski and Elvis Merzlikins. Texier has been red-hot as of late, posting 10 points (5G / 5A) in his last 10 games.

Thomas has not played since December 4th due to a lower-body injury but will be back on the second line with Vladimir Tarasenko and Pavel Buchnevich on Wednesday. Thomas has been terrific this season, scoring two goals with 20 assists (22 points) in 24 games this season.
Kapanen is the latest Penguin to join COVID-19 protocol, making him the eighth player since Boxing Day. The Penguins aren't scheduled to play until Sunday, but at this rate, there's a pretty good chance that it's postponed.
Detroit added two more players to the COVID-19 protocol list on Sunday but removed three on Monday. With Leddy out until at least the middle of next week, look for Daniel Renouf to draw back into the Red Wings lineup on Wednesday.
