Atkinson was forced to exit Saturday’s game early because of a lower-body injury, putting his status for tonight’s game in jeopardy. On Monday morning the Blue Jackets recalled Tyler Motte from Cleveland (AHL) which suggests that Atkinson won’t be available against the Bruins.

Vasilevskiy is now riding an impressive seven-game winning streak and has posted a 1.71 GAA, .948 SV% and one shutout over that stretch. Tonight he will face the Red Wings for the second time this season—he stopped 29 of 31 shots in a 3-2 win in the first meeting.

The 24-year-old netminder has gone 2-2-0 with a 3.24 GAA and .888 SV% in four games with Chicago so far this season—he has never appeared in an NHL game.
