The Maple Leafs have signed Ryan Tverberg to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The 2020 seventh-round pick will join the Toronto Marlies for the remainder of the season on a professional tryout, so this contract doesn't kick in until 2023-24. Tverberg had 30 points (15G / 15A) in 35 games with the University of Connecticut this season.

Alex Steeves has been recalled from Toronto Marlies (AHL).

Steeves has 17 goals, 28 assists, 26 PIMs and a -3 plus/minus through 55 games played with the Toronto Marlies (AHL) and has been recalled to the Maple Leafs Sunday. The 23-year-old has played in three games for the Maple Leafs this season, failing to pick up a point and collecting a -2 plus/minus rating.

Alexander Steeves
Murray will start Monday vs. the Sabres.

Murray allowed four goals on 26 shots (.846 SV%) but still snapped a three-game losing streak with a victory over Edmonton his last time out. The 28-year-old has enjoyed an up-and-down injury-riddled season, with his 12-6-2 record, 2.86 GAA and .905 SV%. He will take on the struggling Buffalo Sabres, who have lost four straight and six of their last seven after a 2-1 overtime loss to the New York Rangers last game.

Matt Murray
Tavares (undisclosed) is day-to-day and will not play on Tuesday.

Tavares has 28 goals, 34 assists, 226 SOG, 28 PIMs and a -1 plus/minus through 63 games played but will miss Tuesday's game due to an undisclosed injury. The 32-year-old Maple Leafs' captain is considered day-to-day until there is a further update on the injury.

Pontus Holmberg has been recalled from the Toronto Marlies.

Holmberg had five goals, six assists, eight PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 22 games with the Toronto Marlies (AHL) and has been recalled Monday. The 23-year-old returns to the Maple Leafs, where he had five goals, 13 points, 26 SOG and 14 PIMs through 36 games played earlier in the season.

Max Domi is expected to make his Stars' debut vs. Colorado Saturday.

Domi was acquired in a trade late Thursday and will make his Dallas debut Saturday vs. Colorado. The 28-year-old has 18 goals, 31 assists, 143 SOG, 76 PIMs and a -9 plus/minus through 60 games played with Chicago this season.

Woll will start Thursday in Calgary.

Woll stopped 29 of 30 shots (.967 SV%) for his first victory of the season as he beat Montreal in his previous start. The 24-year-old has been unbeatable in the AHL and will be looking to build on his 1-1-0 record, 2.57 GAA, and .929 SV% with the Maple Leafs Thursday. He takes on the struggling Calgary Flames, who have lost six of their last eight games after a 4-1 loss to Colorado their last time out.

The Maple Leafs have acquired Jake McCabe, Sam Lafferty, a conditional 2024 5th round pick, and a conditional 2025 5th round pick from the Blackhawks for Joey Anderson, Pavel Gogolev, a conditional 2025 1st round pick, and a 2026 2nd round pick.

McCabe had two goals, 18 assists, 67 SOG, 27 PIMs and a +7 plus/minus and has been traded alongside Sam Lafferty, a conditional 2024 5th round pick, and a conditional 2025 5th round pick from the Blackhawks for Joey Anderson, Pavel Gogolev, a conditional 2025 1st round pick, and a 2026 2nd round pick.
