Matt Murray is to participate in his first full practice Wednesday (lower body)

Murray has been out since mid-October due to a lower-body injury sustained in practice. The 28-year-old was hoping for a career resurgent season after being acquired by Toronto in the offseason but struggled in his only start allowing four goals on 23 shots (.826 SV%) in a loss to Montreal.

Timothy Liljegren will make his season debut Saturday vs. Boston

Head Coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed Wednesday that the plan is for Timothy Liljegran to make his debut Saturday after missing the early part of the season due to hernia surgery. The Maple Leafs will gladly welcome back their 2017 1st round pick (17th overall) who has picked up five goals, 24 points and a +11 plus/minus across 74 career games played across the last three seasons.

Robertson will make his season debut on Thursday.

Robertson was the victim of a numbers game after a strong preseason showing but is back with the Maple Leafs and will make his season debut on Thursday. Robertson, who has one goal and one assist in 16 career NHL games, will replace Denis Malgin and skate on the second line with John Tavares and William Nylander.

Jake Muzzin was placed on the injured reserve Wednesday

Muzzin will head to the injured reserve after injuring his neck in the Maple Leafs' 4-2 loss to Arizona Monday. It is the third time in four seasons since joining Toronto that Muzzin has missed significant time due to injury. He had one assist with eight SOG through four games before the injury announcement.

Stolarz led the Ducks onto the ice for warmups.

Stolarz will get his first start of the 2022-23 season after coming in twice in relief of John Gibson in each of the last two Duck games. He has struggled in relief, allowing three goals on 20 shots. He hopes to return closer to the .919 SV% that he has averaged across his four years in Anaheim.
