It is a massive loss for the already-injured Flyers as Laughton had averaged 19:09 TOI in a constant top-six role through 18 games this season. He had three goals and seven points with a -10 plus/minus and 44 SOG prior to the injury.

Rielly was involved in an away-from-the-puck collision with Kyle Palmieri Monday night which caused him to leave the contest after playing only 16:26 TOI due to a knee injury. It was announced Tuesday that he will head to the long-term injured reserve which is a huge loss as the Maple Leafs are already without T.J. Brodie and Jake Muzzin. Rielly was enjoying a strong 2022-23 prior to the injury, with 16 assists through 20 games played prior to the injury.


Roy is considered day-to-day after head coach Bruce Cassidy announced he would not be travelling with the team due to a lower-body injury. Roy; a five-year veteran, had been having his best season to date as he had 11 points (4G/7A) in his first 18 games while also having a +3 plus/minus and 25 SOG.

Pezzetta has been in and out of the Canadiens lineup all year playing limited minutes (10:23) while filling a fourth-line role, picking up zero points and three SOG through two games. He will enter Montreal's lineup Tuesday after being a healthy scratch in their last game.

Muzzin was hurt on October 17th and will be sidelined until late February. If Muzzin misses the rest of the regular season, the Maple Leafs can use his $5.625M cap hit to make additions.



Lorentz missed the Sharks' previous game due to being a healthy scratch but will draw back into the lineup Friday after only missing one game. In 14 games so far in 2022-23, the 26-year-old has a goal and three points with 24 SOG and a -3 plus/minus.

Lorentz will head to the press box for the first time this season as a healthy scratch Thursday. The 26-year-old has a goal and three points through 14 games played this season while averaging only 12:35 ATOI in a bottom-six role with the Sharks.
