Theodore was only sent to the AHL to start the season because the Golden Knights had a ton of defensemen and he was one of the only players that was waiver exempt. Vegas has been working to clear a spot to bring him up and it looks like the time has finally arrived. Theodore has scored five goals with six assists (11 points) in eight AHL games and just might be the Golden Knights’ best defenseman.

Hill gave up five goals on 30 shots in the Coyotes loss to Dallas last Thursday. In his first two NHL starts, Hill has given up a combined seven goals on 63 shots (.889 SV%). It was a strong debut for the 21-year-old rookie netminder, earning him a second straight start to kick-off his NHL career. The Coyotes are still searching for their first win of the season, but will be in tough vs. the Stars again tonight.

Sissons was not on the ice for the Predators morning skate, so he is listed as a game-time decision. If Sissons can’t play, Kevin Fiala (upper-body) is expected to draw back in to take his roster spot.

Barbashev unsurprisingly cracked the Blues roster, but was surprisingly scratched in the first two contests. This afternoon he will replace Oskar Sundqvist as the third-line centre and will look to build off of the 12 points (5G / 7A) he had in 30 games with the Blues last season.

Eichel is entering the final year of his entry-level contract, so this extension will kick in for the 2018-19 season and run through the 2025-26 campaign—he will be 29-years-old. Eichel is hoping for a better start to 2017-18 after last year got derailed by an injury before the first game. Upon his return to the Buffalo lineup, Eichel was 10th in the NHL in points and is pegged as one of the biggest breakout candidates coming into this season.
