van Riemsdyk (shoulder) will make his season debut on Friday.

van Riemsdyk has overcome an early-season shoulder injury and will play Friday in Anaheim. The Ducks sent Brian Gibbons back to Charlotte (AHL) and opened the door for van Riemsdyk to dress as a seventh defenseman. He had three goals and 11 assists (14 points) in 78 games last season.

The Flames have re-signed Andrew Mangiapane to a one-year contract worth $715K.

Mangiapane spent most of his time in the NHL in 2019, scoring eight goals with five assists (13 points) in 44 games with the Flames. Mangiapane will likely be reserved to a fourth-line role, with Johnny Gaudreau, Matthew Tkachuk and Milan Lucic ahead of him on the depth chart.

The Capitals have re-signed Carl Hagelin to a four-year deal worth $11.0 million ($2.75M AAV).

The Capitals acquired Hagelin from the Kings in February and the veteran winger put his early-season struggles behind him, posting 11 points (3G / 8A) in 20 games with Washington. Hagelin had a 56.7 CorsiFor% and led all Capitals forwards in PK TOI/GM (2:21) after being acquired.
