Wilson will miss his third straight game with a head injury despite skating in every session since Monday. He could get back in for game 2.

Wilson missed the final two games of the regular season after being hit in the head by a shot on April 5th vs. the Red Wings. Wilson was reportedly not dealing with concussion-like symptoms and he is skating in a regular jersey this morning, so he could be good-to-go for Game 1 on Wednesday.

Wilson did not skate this morning after taking a shot to the head on Sunday. He has reportedly not suffered from any concussion-like symptoms, so he remains day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Oshie missed Saturday’s game but he will be back in the lineup tonight vs. Vancouver. Oshie has one goal and four assists in his last six games.

Oshie missed Saturday’s game vs. the Blue Jackets and he could be in danger of missing Monday’s game vs. the Canucks. Chris Porter is expected to skate on the top-line if Oshie can’t play.

Backstrom missed Tuesday’s practice and Wednesday’s morning skate because of an illness, but is expected to play tonight vs. the Rangers. Backstrom has five assists in his last four games.

Ovechkin missed Thursday’s game, but will be back in vs. the Sabres tonight. He comes in leading the NHL in goals with 43 and is a great fantasy hockey option with the Sabres in town.

Ovechkin was listed as a game-time decision and we won’t know if he will play for sure until after warmups. Ovechkin took part in line rushes, which is a good sign that he will play.

Ovechkin missed Thursday’s game and he says he is feeling better after participating in yesterday’s practice and today’s skate, but he remains a game-time decision. He will take part in warmups and then the Capitals will decide whether or not he will play.

Ovechkin was considered a game-time decision, but was held out of last night’s game vs. the Wild. He is considered day-to-day, so monitor his status prior to Saturday’s matchup with the Sabres.

Sgarbossa, 22, will report to Norfolk (AHL). He has 23 points (4G / 19A) in 40 games with Lake Erie. In nine career NHL games Sgarbossa has registered one assist.

van Riemsdyk has been out since November 16th, but has been practicing as of late and his return to the AHL means that he is ready to return to game action. He will likely stay with Rockford until he is back up to game-speed and then should switch spots with Kyle Cumiskey.

van Riemsdyk, who has been sidelined with a left patella fracture since November 16th, had been limited to skating on his own, but joined his teammates for the first time this morning. The 23-year-old is just over three months into a 3-4 month timetable, so it appears as if he is progressing well.

Oshie missed the morning skate again on Monday, but he will play tonight vs. the Avalanche. The All Star break will be a good chance for Oshie to rest up his lower-body injury.

Oshie appeared to be labouring in Thursday’s game after blocking a shot on Tuesday. He was given the morning off, but he will be in the lineup tonight vs. the Maple Leafs. Oshie has been on fire as of late and now sits with 26 points (11G / 15A) in 36 games this season.

Oshie missed Tuesday’s game due to personal reasons, but he is expected to play tomorrow vs. the Kings. Oshie has three goals and three assists in his last four games.

Expect Joakim Lindstrom to be in the lineup for Oshie. He is expected to be back with the team on Thursday vs. the Kings.
