Wilson was not at practice on Thursday for personal reasons but is expected to play on Friday after participating in the Capitals' morning skate. After being held without a point in eight straight, Wilson has begun to heat up, scoring three points (1G / 2A) in his last four games.

Lindgren will start on Tuesday vs. Detroit.

Lindgren will get the crease for the second half of the Capitals' back-to-back after they were victorious on Monday over Ottawa with Darcy Kuemper between the pipes. The 30-year-old Lindgren has been the better of Washington's two goalies this season, with his 12-8-5 record, 2.64 GAA and .914 SV%. He will look to pick up Washington's fifth win in six games Tuesday as he takes on Detroit, who are on a role having won five straight and eight of their last 11.

Dowd (upper body) is out on Monday vs. Ottawa and is considered day-to-day.

Dowd left the Capitals' game on Tuesday vs. New Jersey with an upper-body injury after just 6:20 TOI and was placed on Injured Reserve Friday. The 33-year-old centre has been solid in his usual bottom-six role this season, with eight goals, 16 points, 45 SOG, 30 PIMs and +8 plus/minus through 45 games before his injury.

Oshie (upper body) is out week-to-week and has been placed on Injured Reserve.

Oshie had to be helped off the ice after suffering a non-contact lower-body injury against the Tampa Bay Lightning last week. Head coach Spencer Carbery said that his level of concern for Oshie's injury was "fairly high" and after being evaluated has been confirmed out of the lineup on a week-to-week basis.

Dowd (upper body) has been placed on Injured Reserve.

Dowd left the Capitals' game on Tuesday vs. New Jersey with an upper-body injury after just 6:20 TOI and was placed on Injured Reserve Friday. The 33-year-old centre has been solid in his usual bottom-six role this season, with eight goals, 16 points, 45 SOG, 30 PIMs and +8 plus/minus through 45 games before his injury. He will miss the Capitals' next two games at the least due to being placed on IR.

Lapierre has been recalled from Hershey (AHL) on Friday.

With the news of TJ Oshie (lower body) out for an indefinite period, Hendrix Lapierre was recalled on Friday from Hershey (AHL) and is expected to join the lineup on Saturday. The 22-year-old centre has enjoyed a solid season in Hersey, with five goals, 17 points and six PIMs in 21 games played but returns to Washington where he also has seven points in 25 games during his previous call up.

The 30-year-old netminder was excellent in Washington's last contest, saving 37 of 39 shots (.949 SV%) in a 6-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils. The Capitals are riding a two-game winning streak and are +174 road underdogs against the Tampa Bay Lightning, losers of two straight.

Dowd (upper body) left Tuesday's game early and will miss practice Wednesday as he continues to be evaluated.

Dowd played only 6:20 time-on-ice before exiting Tuesday's game with an upper-body injury. Before his injury, Dowd was riding a season-best three-game point streak, scoring three points (1G / 2A). The Devils return to action on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
