Comrie will start in Buffalo on Monday.

The Jets have struggled without Connor Hellebuyck (knee), but finally recorded their first win in five games without him (1-4-0), a 5-2 victory over the Nashville Predators, in which Comrie saved 20 of 22 shots (.909 SV%). The Jets will hope Comrie's first win as their de facto starting netminder will give him momentum to improve on his 2.91 GAA and .898 SV% in nine games (5-4-0) this season. The Jets enter Monday's contest as +101 road underdogs against a Buffalo Sabres team that has scored two or fewer goals in three straight games (1-2-0).

Milic will make his NHL debut in Carolina on Friday.

With Connor Hellebuyck out for 4-6 weeks after undergoing a minor Arthroscopic knee procedure, the Jets recalled Milic from the Manitoba Moose (AHL) with the intention of him serving as Eric Comrie’s backup. That said, Comrie has struggled in three games since taking over the starting role (0-3-0), giving Milic the opportunity to earn some playing time with a strong performance in his NHL debut on Friday against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 22-year-old Milic has a 2.14 GAA and .921 SV% in nine games (5-2-2) with Manitoba this season.

Salomonsson will make his NHL debut in Washington on Wednesday.

Salamonsson was drafted in the second-round, 55th overall, by the Jets in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. The 21-year-old Swedish defenseman has yet to play an NHL game. He made his North American professional debut last season in the AHL, scoring 27 points (5G / 22A) in 53 games with the Manitoba Moose.

Comrie will start in Washington on Wednesday.

Comrie has started both games since Connor Hellebuyck (knee) announced out for the next 4-6 weeks, but has not produced favourable results in those games (0-2-0), allowing seven goals on 58 combined shots (.879 SV%). The 30-year-old Comrie has a 2.87 GAA and .899 SV% through seven games this season (4-3-0). He has never started more than 20 games in a season, a total that he should have no problem surpassing in 2025-26. The Jets enter Wednesday's contest as +129 road underdogs against a Washington Capitals team that has scored five or more goals in three of their last four games (3-1-0).

Pionk (lower-body) is considered day-to-day but will travel with Winnipeg on their upcoming road trip.

Pionk exited Winnipeg's most recent game in the first period due to a lower-body injury, but is considered day-to-day and could return to the lineup on their upcoming five-game road trip. The 30-year-old Pionk has been relied upon heavily this season, averaging 22:44 time-on-ice and recording five points (1G / 4A), 36 blocks, and 42 hits in 21 games.

Comrie will start against the Hurricanes on Friday.

With Connor Hellebuyck sidelined for several weeks after undergoing a minor Arthroscopic knee procedure, Comrie will likely see a heavy workload for the Jets, starting with Friday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes. Comrie started a career-high 20 games last season, a total he will surely surpass with Hellebuyck out of the lineup. The 30-year-old Comrie has been solid in limited action this season, posting a 2.60 GAA and .908 SV% in five games (4-1-0). The Jets enter Friday's contest as +138 road underdogs against a Hurricanes team that has points in eight of its last 10 games (6-2-2).

Pearson will be a healthy scratch vs. Carolina on Friday.

Cole Koepke will draw back into the Jets' lineup on Friday against the Carolina Hurricanes, resulting in Pearson being a healthy scratch. The 33-year-old Pearson is averaging 11:03 time-on-ice and has four points (1G / 3A) in 19 games this season.

The 22-year-old Milic has yet to play an NHL game and has a 2.14 GAA and .921 SV% in nine games (5-2-2) with Manitoba this season. Milic likely won't see much playing time at the NHL level, as he is expected to back up Eric Comrie during Hellebuyck's absence.

Hellebuyck will miss the next 4 to 6 weeks after undergoing a minor Arthroscopic knee procedure.

On Friday morning, the Jets surprisingly announced that Hellebuyck will be sidelined for four to six weeks after undergoing a minor Arthroscopic knee procedure. The 32-year-old Hellebuyck has been a workhorse for the Jets for the previous several seasons, missing minimal time and being among the league leaders for games played. His impending absence likely lessens his chances of repeating as the winner of the Vezina Trophy for a third consecutive season despite another good start in 2025-26, with a 2.51 GAA and .913 SV% through 14 games (8-6-0). Expect Eric Comrie to see a heavy workload between the pipes for the Jets during Hellebuyck's absence.
