Hellebuyck allowed three goals on 30 shots in the Jets’ loss in Edmonton on Sunday. Hellebuyck has gone 1-2-1 with a 3.58 GAA and .876 SV% in four starts and one relief appearance in the month of December. Tonight he takes on the Panthers on home-ice—Hellebuyck has gone 7-4-1 with a 2.36 GAA and .922 SV% at the MTS Centre.

Toews has been sidelined by an upper-body injury since October 23rd, but will be back in the lineup in New York tonight. Toews will centre the top line with Marian Hossa and Ryan Hartman on his wings. The Blackhawks’ captain has 12 points (4G / 8A) in 21 games this season.

Di Giuseppe had one goal and one assist in seven games during this call-up, to give him two points (1G / 1A) in 18 games with the Hurricanes this season. Carolina is expected to get Jordan Staal and Elias Lindholm back on Tuesday, so Di Giuseppe returns to Charlotte.

Toews has missed the last nine games with an upper-body injury, but he skated on Sunday and will travel with the team to New York. Monitor Toews’ status during Tuesday’s morning skate, but all signs are pointing towards him being available vs. the Rangers. The Blackhawks’ captain has 12 points (4G / 8A) in 21 games this season.

Toews will miss his ninth consecutive game with an upper-body injury, but is nearing a return, so monitor his status leading into next week.

Connor has been a healthy scratch for the last five games and will head to Manitoba to get more playing time. Connor made the team out of training camp, but only picked up one goal and three assists (four points) in 19 games.

Scheifele has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury, but he will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Rangers. Scheifele has been great this season, scoring 13 goals with 13 assists (26 points) in 26 games. He will skate in the middle of Drew Stafford and Blake Wheeler tonight.

DeMelo will replace David Schlemko (lower-body) in the lineup vs. the Senators. DeMelo has registered one goal in the two games he’s played in with the Sharks this season.

Scheifele will miss his third straight game with a lower-body injury. Scheifele did not skate this morning, which suggests that he isn’t that close to playing. Monitor his status prior to Thursday’s game, but it doesn’t look like he’ll be back in.

Tonight he will make his second start vs. Detroit—he stopped 30 of 33 shots in a 5-3 win over the Red Wings in the first meeting.
