Toews has been sidelined by an upper-body injury since October 23rd, but will be back in the lineup in New York tonight. Toews will centre the top line with Marian Hossa and Ryan Hartman on his wings. The Blackhawks’ captain has 12 points (4G / 8A) in 21 games this season.

Di Giuseppe had one goal and one assist in seven games during this call-up, to give him two points (1G / 1A) in 18 games with the Hurricanes this season. Carolina is expected to get Jordan Staal and Elias Lindholm back on Tuesday, so Di Giuseppe returns to Charlotte.

Scheifele has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury, but he will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Rangers. Scheifele has been great this season, scoring 13 goals with 13 assists (26 points) in 26 games. He will skate in the middle of Drew Stafford and Blake Wheeler tonight.

Hellebuyck will start Tuesday vs. the Red Wings.

Hellebuyck allowed a single goal on 26 shots in the Jets’ win in Chicago on Sunday. Hellebuyck has won three of his last four starts while posting a 2.37 GAA, .926 SV% on one shutout. Tonight he will make his second start vs. Detroit—he stopped 30 of 33 shots in a 5-3 win over the Red Wings in the first meeting.

Scheifele finished the morning skate without a hitch, but news has emerged that he will be a game-time decision tonight. There's no word on what is ailing the start centre, but be sure to monitor his status during pregame warmups.

Tonight he will take on a reeling Oilers team on home ice—Hellebuyck has gone 7-3-0 with a 1.92 GAA and .937 SV% in 10 starts at the MTS Centre.
