Hellebuyck will start Friday vs. the Blues.

Hellebuyck allowed three goals on 24 shots in the Jets win over the Coyotes on Tuesday. Hellebuyck has won five of his last seven starts (5-1-1) with a 1.94 GAA, .934 SV% and two shutouts. Hellebuyck has been on of the best goalies in the NHL this season, losing in regulation just six times in 42 starts. He posted a 24-save shutout in his first start against the Blues this season.

The Jets recalled Eric Comrie from Manitoba (AHL).

Comrie, 22, has gone 15-8-2 with a 2.54 GAA and .921 SV% in 25 games with Manitoba this season. With both Steve Mason and Michael Hutchinson out with concussions, Comrie comes up to serve as Connor Hellebuyck’s backup. The second round pick has allowed nine goals on 74 shots (.878 SV%) in two career NHL games.

The Rangers have recalled Neal Pionk from Hartford (AHL).

Pionk, 22, was an undrafted free agent out of the University of Minnesota-Duluth, who has collected 17 points (1G / 16A) in 48 games in his first season with Hartford (AHL). Pionk could make his NHL debut this weekend after Brendan Smith was placed on waivers this afternoon.

Hellebuyck will start Tuesday vs. the Coyotes.

Hellebuyck stopped all 25 shots that he faced in the Jets shutout in over the Avalanche on Saturday. It was Hellebuyck’s fifth shutout of the season, tying him for second in the NHL—he’s also tied for second with 27 wins in 41 starts. In his first start against the Coyotes, Hellebuyck stopped 33 of 34 shots in a 4-1 win in mid-November.

Scheifele (upper-body) will not play Tuesday; could return on Friday.

Scheifele was on the ice for Monday’s practice but is not quite ready to play tomorrow. Scheifele appears to be on track to play Friday vs. St. Louis. Monitor the Jets’ No.1 centre’s status as the week progresses.

Lowry is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Lowry missed Saturday’s game with a re-aggravated upper-body injury and won’t be ready to play on Tuesday. Lowry is among a handful of Jets forwards that won’t be available, so a call-up should be coming up from Manitoba (AHL).

Niederreiter (lower-body) will return to the Wild lineup on Friday.

Niederreiter has missed the last eight games but will draw back in tonight vs.the Golden Knights. Injuries have limited Niederreiter to just 31 of a possible 50 games this season, but he has played well when healthy, scoring at a 34-goal, 16-assist (50 points) per 82-game pace. Niederreiter will start on the second line with Eric Staal and Tyler Ennis.

Hellebuyck will start Thursday vs. the Golden Knights.

Hellebuyck allowed three goals on 39 shots last Thursday. Michael Hutchinson gave Hellebuyck a night off on Tuesday, but Hellebuyck will get back in the cage tonight vs. the Golden Knights. Hellebuyck went 5-2-2 with a 2.28 GAA, .927 SV% and one shutout in nine January starts. Tonight he will get his first look at the Vegas Golden Knights.

Lowry (upper-body) will be back in the Jets lineup on Tuesday.

Lowry has missed the last eight games with an upper-body injury but will likely play on Tuesday. Lowry has picked up eight goals and six assists (14 points) in 33 games so far in 2017-18. He was playing on the top PP when he was hurt but there is no word whether or not he will retain that spot tonight.

Hellebuyck will start Thursday in Anaheim.

Hellebuyck allowed four goals on 33 shots in the Jets in the Jets win in San Jose on Tuesday. Hellebuyck has won his last three starts while stopping 88 of the last 93 shots (.946 SV%) that he has faced. In his first start against the Ducks, Hellebuyck stopped 30 of 31 shots in a 4-1 win in late-November.
