Lowry (suspension/illness) will return to the Jets lineup on Friday.

Hellebuyck will start Tuesday in Tampa Bay.

Hellebuyck allowed two goals on 42 shots in the Jets win in Columbus on Sunday. Hellebuyck has gone 4-3-0 with a 3.30 GAA and .914 SV% in his last seven starts. Overall, it has been a tough season for the 25-year-old, who has a 2.96 GAA and .911 SV% in 49 games, and a road meeting with the NHL's best team is a matchup where he should be left on the bench.

Morrissey (upper-body) will be out until at least early-April.

Morrissey suffered an upper-body injury after being hit by Vinnie Hinostroza on Sunday and will miss the entire month of March. Head coach Paul Maurice his “window” to return “opens in April.” The Jets obviously knew this was the case, which is why they went out and got Nathan Beaulieu and Bogdan Kiselevich on Monday.

Morrissey (upper-body) will be re-evaluated; will not play on Tuesday.

Morrissey suffered an upper-body injury after being in Arizona on Sunday and there is fear that he could miss an extended period of time. The Jets went out and acquired a few depth defenseman at the trade deadline, which suggests there could be some truth to that. Morrissey will return to Winnipeg to be re-evaluated and they should provide a more detailed update after that.

The Canucks have acquired Tanner Pearson from the Penguins for Erik Gudbranson.

Pearson got off to a nice start in Pittsburgh but dropped down the depth chart after they added Nick Bjugstad and Jared McCann. Overall, Pearson has nine goals and six assists (15 points) in 61 games between the Kings and Penguins. He has a much better chance to play in the Canucks top-6 and could slot onto the top line with Bo Horvat right away.

The Sharks have acquired Gustav Nyquist from the Red Wings for a 2019 second-round pick and a conditional 2010 third-round pick.

Nyquist has enjoyed a quality campaign while playing mostly with Dylan Larkin, who is having a breakout season of his own. Nyquist has scored 15 goals with 33 assists (48 points) in 61 games with the Red Wings and the pending free agent heads to San Jose where he joins one of the deepest forward groups in the NHL. With the Sharks’ top-6 pretty much cemented in place, the third line with Joe Thornton seems like a logical landing spot for Nqyuist.

Hellebuyck will start Friday in Vegas.

Hellebuyck allowed seven goals on 46 shots in the Jets blowout loss in Colorado on Wednesday. Hellebuyck has had a tough time recently, losing four of his last six starts (2-3-1) with a 3.82 GAA and .906 SV%. The 25-year-old netminder has gone 10-10- with a 3.12 GAA and .910 SV% in 21 road games this season.
