The Dallas Stars suffered another injury on the blue line Monday night in Denver, losing defenseman Aaron Rome in the first period.

Rome left about 14 minutes into the game after getting tangled up with Colorado forward Jamie McGinn near the benches. The Stars announced he had a lower body injury. “It’s the same [injury] that he suffered in practice about ten days ago,” Stars coach Lindy Ruff said. “It looks like he is going to be out.” Rome, who missed the start of the season due to offseason hip surgeries, was playing in just his third game of the season.

The Dallas Stars announced today that defenseman Aaron Rome has been placed on injured reserve, retroactive to the lower body injury he suffered on November 24.

Rome, 30, is in his second season with the Dallas Stars, posting five assists and 18 penalty minutes in 27 career games with the Stars. Jaime Oleksiak and Kevin Connauton will remain with the team and likely shuffle in and out of the lineup. Oleksiak played last night vs. Edmonton.

The Stars have recalled defenseman Aaron Rome from Texas (AHL).

Rome, 30, has skated in eight games for Texas this season, registering one assist and a plus-1 rating. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound defenseman was Los Angeles' fourth-round selection (104th overall) in the 2002 NHL Draft and was signed by Dallas as a free agent on July 1, 2012.

The Dallas Stars have placed Aaron Rome on waivers.

Rome waivers could be just for options. If he clears, he has 10-game, 30-day window where he can be assigned. Gives extra forward option. Rome just returned to the Stars after missing the start of the season with a hip injury.
