Philadelphia has signed Adam Ginning to a two-year, two-way contract extension.

Ginning played 67 combined games between Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley (AHL) in 2023-24 and has signed a two-year, two-way contract to remain with the Flyers. The 24-year-old defenseman made his NHL debut in 2022-23 and has one goal in 10 NHL games played. He is likely to take on a bigger role with the Flyers in 2024-25.

Ginning is expected to draw back into Philalphia's lineup on Tuesday vs. Toronto.

Ginning, Bobby Brink, and Olle Lycksell will all draw into the lineup on Tuesday, replacing veterans Sean Couturier, Cam Atkinson, and Marc Staal. Ginning made his season debut with the Flyers earlier this month but has spent most of the 2023-24 campaign in the AHL. In 53 games with the Lehigh-Valley Phantoms (AHL), Ginning has 13 points (2G / 11A).

Ginning made his NHL debut Tuesday night vs. Columbus and played 21 shifts, 16:40 TOI and picked up two PIMs in his first taste of NHL action. The 23-year-old returns to Lehigh-Valley (AHL), where he has three goals, 19 points, 61 PIMs and a +25 plus/minus through 65 games prior to his call-up.
