Pardy made his Predators debut on December 8th, but has spent the majority of the year in Milwaukee, where he has collected seven points (2G / 5A) in 16 games. Pardy has been recalled to serve as the Predators’ seventh defenseman on their road-trip because P.K. Subban did not travel with the team due to an upper-body injury.
The Predators have moved Anthony Bitetto to IR and Ryan Ellis is out, so they needed an NHL body. Pardy had been playing with the Predators’ AHL affiliate on an AHL deal, where he has collected two goals and three assists (five points) in 12 games.
Pardy has only appeared in 14 games with the Jets this season and was placed on waivers on Sunday. Pardy offers blueline depth for the Oilers, who will likely send some of their young defensemen to the AHL to get some extra conditioning before the 2016-17 season.
