It’s hard to tell exactly what you’re going to get from the 22-year-old from start-to-start, so it’s hard to trust him tonight in Montreal. The Habs are averaging 3.00 goals per game (t-16th) this season.

It was the first shutout of Georgiev’s career and 22-year-old is now 4-0-0 wile stopping 127 of 135 shots (.941 SV%) in his last four starts. He has yet to lost in two starts at Madison Square Garden, but has a tough matchup with the Capitals in town.

Georgiev went 1-1-0 while allowing six goals on 63 shots (.905 SV%) in his tow starts and returns to the NHL, where he might not start a game for a few weeks—their next back-to-back isn’t until Nov.9-Nov.10.

Georgiev has not started since October 7th and the Rangers are off until Saturday, so he’ll go to Hartford to get some work in. The 22-year-old was 14-13-2 with a 2.98 GAA and .909 SV% in 37 games with the Wolf Pack last season.

During a short time with the Rangers, the 22-year-old was 4-4-1 with 3.15 GAA and .918 SV% in 10 starts. He will serve as Henrik Lundqvist’s backup this season and make his first start against a Hurricanes team that has four goals in two games.

Georgiev allowed one goal on 44 shots in the Rangers win over the Sabres on Saturday. It was a great outing for Georgiev, who is now 3-1-0 with a 2.72 GAA and .933 SV% on home ice this season. The 22-year-old will continue to get work with Henrik Lundqvist still ailing.

Georgiev allowed four goals on 36 shots in the Rangers loss in Philadelphia on Thursday. After a hot start to his NHL career, Georgiev has now allowed at least three goals in his last four starts. Despite the recent struggles, he remains a pretty good option against a bad Sabres team.

Georgiev stopped 41 of 44 shots in the Rangers win over the Hurricanes on Monday. He has basically forced the Rangers to consider starting him as he continues to stand tall despite facing a barrage of shots. In his first four NHL starts, Georgiev has faced an average of 39.5 shots per game and has turned aside 93 percent of them. Tonight may be the stiffest test of his young career with the two-time Stanley Cup Champs coming to MSG.
