He'll have to be at the top of his game tonight to out-duel a rested Elvis Merzlikins.

Since Christmas, Georgiev has gone 3-3-0 with a 3.63 GAA and .893 SV% but draws an amazing matchup with the Sabres in town. He has played great on the road this year, going 8-2-0 in 10 starts, while Edmonton has lost eight of their last 10 home games (2-6-2) while averaging just 2.30 goals per game.

Georgiev allowed six goals on 40 shots in the Rangers 6-3 loss to the Maple Leafs on December 20th. Henrik Lundqvist has started the last three games, including last night, so Georgiev will start against the Maple Leafs again tonight. It was the third time in four games that Georgiev allowed five-plus goals, pushing his season GAA to 3.42 while his SV% sits at a paltry .903. Today he faces the Devils for the second time this season--he allowed four goals on 37 shots in a 5-2 loss in the first meeting (Oct.17).
