


Edler has been sidelined since November 26th with a broken index finger, but it looks like he could return tonight vs. the Kings. His original timetable was 4-6 weeks and tonight would be exactly the one month mark. Edler is expected to skate with Troy Stecher and comes in with one goal and two assists (three points) in 21 games.

Edler was injured early in the Canucks’ win in Colorado on Saturday and will miss at least one month. With Edler out, the Canucks will recall Alex Biega from Utica and he will draw into the lineup on Tuesday.

Edler missed Saturday’s game in Toronto, but is expected to play on Monday. There’s no word on who will come out of the lineup in favour of Edler, but expect it to be either Troy Stecher or Nikita Tryamkin.

Edler missed Friday’s practice and Saturday’s morning skate and is listed as doubtful for tonight’s game. Edler is day-to-day and is not expected to miss an expected period of time.

Edler was held out of Saturday’s game vs. Calgary because of and illness but will return to the lineup tonight in Anaheim. Edler had three shots and a plus-3 rating in the Canucks season opener.

Edler has missed the last eight games with an upper-body injury, but it looks like he will play tonight. According to the Canucks website, he has been activated from IR. He skated with Yannick Weber in the morning skate, so expect that to be the case tonight in Arizona. He has 17 points (5G / 12A) in 55 games this season.

Edler resumed skating last week and he has been making some progress after missing the last seven games, but it doesn’t look like he will play tomorrow. Monitor his status leading up to Thursday’s game in Arizona.

Edler missed last night’s game with a lower-body injury that he suffered over the weekend. Originally the extent of the injury was not known, but GM Jim Benning announced after yesterday’s game that Edler is week-to-week. Expect him to miss at least two weeks.

Edler will not be in the lineup against the Wild tonight because of a lower-body injury that he suffered on Saturday in Calgary. With Edler out, Yannick Weber will be back in the lineup and Adam Clendening will man the point on the Canucks top power-play unit. Consider Edler day-to-day until the Canucks release more information.

Edler left Saturday’s game with a lower-body injury and his absence from the morning skate is not a good sign that he will be available tonight vs. the Wild. Coach Willie Desjardins did not have an update on Edler’s status and said that he is still under evaluation.

Edler left Saturday’s game in the second period and did not return. There was no update on Edler’s condition following the game, but expect an update in the next 24 hours.

Barring any concussion issues, Edler is likely being held out for precautionary reasons. He is coming off of the worst season of his career, so I am sure he wanted to start the year off on a better note, but expect him to be ready for the start of the regular season.

Edler has been progressing toward his return recently and the assignment of Frank Corrado to the AHL suggests that Edler will return after a 16 game absence. Edler struggled in his first 27 games this season, he recorded just nine points (3G / 6A) and a minus-12 rating.
