Florida has re-signed Alexander True to a one-year, two-way contract extension.

True had 11 goals, 21 assists, 48 PIMs and a +13 plus/minus through 71 games with Coachella Valley (AHL) and has signed a one-year, two-way contract extension with Florida worth $775,000. The 26-year-old undrafted Centre has played in 27 career NHL games, picking up five assists, and 25 SOG to go along with 10 PIMs across three seasons.

True appeared in 12 NHL games a season ago, posting four assists. During his time in the AHL to start 2021, the 23-year-old has registered two goals and three assists in six games. True will replace Noah Gregor and skate on the fourth line with Marcus Sorensen and Matt Nieto.
