Marchenko left Sunday’s game after being hit hard by Michael Ferland during the Red Wings’ loss to the Flames. Marchenko will miss at least a few weeks, which means the Red Wings will likely recall a defenseman from Grand Rapids (AHL) and Xavier Ouellet will get back into the lineup on Wednesday.

In 33 games in the AHL he has two goals and 14 assists with a plus-15 rating. There is no word which, if any defenseman is injured for the Red Wings, we should find out at practice today.
