Lee (personal) is expected to be back in the Islanders lineup on Monday.

Lee did not play Saturday afternoon vs. the Blues due to a personal matter but was back on the ice for Monday's morning skate and is expected to play vs. Colorado. Lee, who has just one goal and no assists in his last eight games, will skate on the third line with Zach Parise and Oliver Wahlstrom.

Lee (lower-body) will undergo surgery and miss the rest of the 2021 season.

Lee suffered a lower-body injury vs. the Devils last Thursday and the Islanders announced on Wednesday that he will undergo surgery later this week and miss the rest of the season. Since Lee got hurt Kieffer Bellows on the top line but it's unclear if that is the long-term solution. The Islanders added that Lee will be ready for the 2022 season.

Lee is out indefinitely with a lower-body injury.

Lee left Thursday's game after playing just 3:35 TOI and did not return. On Friday, the Islanders announced that he's out indefinitely and that there will be no further update provided at this time. It's an ominous update and makes it seem like he's going to miss an extended period of time.

Lee was forced to leave Saturday’s game in Detroit following a huge hit by Niklas Kronwall. Lee ended up returning to the game but it’s good to know that there were no lingering effects post-game. Lee will be in the lineup vs. the Penguins and has five goals and two assists in his last eight games.

The Islanders recalled Anders Lee from Bridgeport (AHL)

Lee, 24, has three goals and two assists in five games with Bridgeport so far this season. He was close to making the Islanders out of camp, but it didn't take him long to get recalled. He had 14 points (9G / 5A) in 22 games with the Isles last season. There is a good chance he will centre the Islanders second line with Brock Nelson and either Ryan Strome or Nikolai Kulemin on his wing tonight.

The Islanders sixth round pick in 2009 has tallied 41 points (22G / 19A) in 54 games with Bridgeport this year. He should get a chance to play top-9 minutes with John Tavares and Frans Nielsen on IR.
