Meszaros, 29, had 14 points (7G / 7A) in 60 games with the Sabres last season. The former first-round pick has totalled 238 points (63G / 175A) in 645 games in his career with the Senators, Lightning, Flyers, Bruins and Sabres.
Meszaros is out with a hand injury and Chad Ruhwedel is expected tone recalled and fill-in for him. Meszaros is day-to-day.
