The Stars announced that Khudobin underwent a right hip arthroscopy and Cabral repair on Sunday. The rehabilitation and recovery time is approximately six months. Khudobin went 3-4-1 with a 3.63 GAA and .879 SV% in nine NHL games this season.

Khudobin was recalled directly to the active roster, bypassing the taxi squad, suggesting that Jake Oettinger or Braden Holtby will be unavailable on Tuesday. Khudobin has gone 2-4-0 with a 2.55 GAA and .903 SV% in six AHL games this season.

With Braden Holtby back from COVID-19 protocol, Khudobin returns to the taxi squad. Holtby and Jake Oettinger will serve as the Stars' goaltending duo moving forward.
