Khudobin's only other start this season was a 4-3 defeat at the hands of the Red Wings on October 6. He allowed four goals on 33 shots. He draws a difficult assignment tonight against the high-scoring Capitals. Khudobin posted a 16-17-5 record in 41 appearances last season, registering a 2.57 GAA and a .923 SV%.

Khudobin started a career-high 37 games, going 16-17-5 with a 2.57 GAA and .923 SV% in 2018-19. Ben Bishop started the first two games of the season, including the first game of the back-to-back, so Khudobin will go tonight in Detroit. Khudobin was 9-10-4 with a 2.74 GAA, .918 SV% and two shutouts on the road last year. As good as this matchup looks, the Red Wings did have an impressive showing in their season debut (5-2 win in Nashville).

With Ben Bishop still sidelined, Khudobin will continue to add to his career-high in starts (36) and games played (40) tonight in Chicago. He is 1-1-0 with a 2.52 GAA and .923 SV% vs. the Blackhawks this year.

Khudobin has just two wins in his last eight appearances (six starts) despite posting a 2.09 GAA and .937 SV%. Tonight he takes on a Flyers team that is mathematically limited and losers of four of their last five.
